Why can't they just call it "Power Rangers"?

I don't like "Neo Piccolo's" hoodie to be honest. A little bit too much like Slug's helmet-thing for me. He doesn't need to hide his identity by this point.
Also...the red and green is way too "walking Christmas tree" for me. XD
I'd rather just have normal Piccolo colors; maybe a dark purple with a little bit of red, but the red shouldn't overpower it.

Then again, I'd prefer Goku keep his orange gi pants, so I guess it goes both ways. ^^;

Its always possible they may change the sequel's title at some point. I mean, this movie was originally supposed to just be called "Dragon Ball", and they for some reason tacked on "Evolution" to it near the end.

It would be amusing as anything if the sequel turns out to be more of a 23rd Budoukai type of deal with Piccolo Jr and Vegeta doesn't show up at all. XD
(Seriously I'd laugh so hard. XD )

I <3 the original 23rd Budoukai though, and I'm sure if said sequel gets made, it'll have Vegeta in it because they mentioned outer space in the few bits of news they did have on it.

How do you know it's even DBZ, though?
Did not Marsters say in that interview I posted that it would be technically “Z”?

I think they changed it because everyone was crying that it was not Dragonball and it did not look close enough to the source material. So naturally, they changed the title to say ‘hey this is a re-imagined version’.

The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Chuquita: You've played the PSP game haven't you? Bulma makes a joke about him looking like a Christmas tree...

And wouldn't there be some rights issues with calling it DBZ? Fox has the gotten the rights from Shueshia, right? Shueshia didn't publish a DragonBall Z (Viz did though).

Also WTF is this. I can have Rule instead...

Marsters is a fanboy and he's not the screenwriter. I'm not saying it's not Z, but there's a possibility it isn't.

I mean it's gotta be Z right? Goku dies at the beggining, They talked about going to outer space, Piccolo will probably be a good guy. Where else could they go with the story?

Power Rangers does/did what they're trying to do a whole lot better. :?

I don't have a PSP sadly. :( (I have a DS though).
Saying something similar to that line's just a coincidence. ^^
Nice that there is a Piccolo the Christmas Tree joke in the game though. XD

That Brian Anthony thing! I forgot all about that too!
(Sweet fudge they'll need a whole extra dvd just to pack all the stuff that was cut out of the movie onto. o_O;;; )

Aaugh his song was awful. It sounded like it should air during a soap opera sex scene. @_@

Taking a tv show for kids and making an appealing live action movie out of it. Not only that but you gotta admit when you saw the first Power Ranger movie it was pretty much like watching the show. Can't really say the same for Evolution.

I respect your opinion, but I really dislike Power Rangers. Excluding the SNES video game.

Not even as kid? Anyways I can respect that. It's not like I like them now. It's just something I liked as a kid.

It was supposed to play during the "Chi-Chi's party" scene. I forget if it actually did or not.

Bwuh? o_O

Are they trying to refer to that helmet blast from Chi-Chi's original intro in the manga? I don't recall her ever shooting beams from her forehead in this movie.

LOL at "Neo Yamcha" though. All this stuff they dropped from the movie could've easily taken up a whole extra hour of footage.

Some context for the laser (it's mostly from the last real scene in the movie);

Secret Act #1:

After the defeat of Lord Piccolo (which goes exactly like the movie more or less), Goku goes back to Tai Sen (Tai Son, Toi Son?) and ends up sparring with Chi-Chi. She taunts Goku by saying she has learned a new technique, and that she wants to use this new technique on Goku because he knocked her out cold. She says she didn't use it before because she was afraid of hurting Goku (more so, "I'm holding back for your sake"). Goku asks what this special technique is, enter: "Well, it's sorta like a beam that comes from my forehead..." Goku responds with a "What?", "Just kidding". I found it hilarious so I snapped a picture of it. The battle begins. Except you play as Chi-Chi IIRC.

Secret Act #2:

[it seems a decent amount of time has passed since the end of Secret Act #1]

Goku trains with Master Roshi, suddenly they sense the Ki of an unbelievable power. They question if Piccolo can really be back. But before they have time to recollect on these thoughts they are confronted with Fu Lums. With no lava in sight Goku uses his now mastered Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha to dispose of them. Neo Piccolo appears. Neo Piccolo and Roshi battle it out as Goku is busy with the Fu Lums. Neo Piccolo then explains that he isn't the Piccolo they once defeated, seeks revenge for Piccolo's defeat. Creates more Fu Lums to keep Roshi busy. While Goku battle Neo Piccolo. Neo Piccolo tosses out some more cases of Kakkarot, Saiyans, etc as he is defeated.

End of Story Mode.

The conversations with Bulma and such are from the Arcade incounters.

Neo Piccolo never explains how he came to be. Saying some generic things like "I've come from the depths of hell" or something.

The game is pretty swell, although reviews are condemning it. I love the ridiculous attacks. Be it Yamcha's truck running over you. Or Bulma throwing her capsules (ala what she did to Mai in the movie) at you. Sometimes it's a bike, other times a teddy bear.

Notice the change from green to beige. Just like the early movie Piccolo we saw. It’s almost as if the producers thought green for dragons/aliens was “too cliché”, or something, and only changed Piccolo at the last minute because they were drowning in fanboy tears.

Looking at the pics above, I’m convinced it’s Cymbal. Note the horns, frills on the side of his head, and the shape of his mouth.

I am guessing that is probably an early concept art of what Piccolo would look in the movie. After seen what Oozaru was supposed to look in the first hand I am not surprised if they planned a few different and radical designs of Piccolo.

But it is just me or that guy has horse's legs and feet?
