Dragon Ball: Evolution- Speculation and Discussion

I'm 99.9% certain that the image is a placeholder. If you go to the official Dragon Ball Evolution site, one of the downloadable wallpapers is that image, only larger.

Also, it looks amateurish for coverart. I for one still hope for a steelbook to place next to my DBZ movies.

I don't really like that DVD cover at all. I'd like something more along the lines of the Japanese Poster, or at least the American "Group" poster.

Today in my science class (as we usually do on Fridays) we went around the class and said what we're doing this weekend. Everything was going normal, until we got to this one girl who proudly said, "my friend and I are going to see the new Dragonball movie".

OK, didn't see that one coming.

I knew this girl was an anime/manga fan (they're pretty easy to spot these days), but I didn't know she liked Dragonball. So at the end of the period, as we were leaving the class I walked up to her and said, "so, you're gonna go see Evolution?" To which she said, "yeah, we're going to go and bash the whole movie!"

Now I wasn't expecting this either, but it's not too hard to go on an anime site and see that it's officially cool to bash the new Dragonball movie, so I wasn't too surprised. Starting to get curious, I asked "what are you gonna bash?", to which she replied, "Everything! First of all, the Dragonballs are made by monks, not Namekians!? And Piccolo isn't even green! And I guess in the movie Goku and Chi Chi share a passionate kiss, but in the manga Goku doesn't even know what marriage is and doesn't really show that he loves Chi Chi!"

WOW!

This pretty much made my day, and was something that I was really surprised about, but was very, very happy to hear!

I feel as though people are angry just because Son doesn't treat Chi-Chi like "Some Crazy Bitch". I mean, he can't be a total douche to everyone, can he?

NOTE: Can we all just stop with the whole "I'm in luv wit the gurl in Rambo'z sience class, cuz she bashez the evolutionz, lulz" jokes? They just seem like they'll carry on for 15 more posts.

Romance is fine. But this relationship was as more unbelievable than any that I've ever seen in film, short of a porno.

As for the relationship between Goku and Chi-chi in the film, I cringed several times during the film because of the awful hamfisted dialogue, it's not only a departure from the original, it's just plain awful.
