Dragon Ball Evolution Fan Edit (The Legend of Son Goku)

I'm sure you've heard of the Phantom Edit of Star Wars Episode 1, and it occured to me the other day that Dragon Ball Evolution could be edited down and made into something shorter and more enjoyable for Dragon Ball fans. Just like Jar Jar Binks and Stupid lines were edited out of the Phantom edit, I'll be taking out things that make up RAAAAAAAAAAGE.

Like High school, and...uh... Goku putting on hair gel.

I'll also be going over Bulma's hair through out the entire movie to make it blue, kinda like a joke...
Dumb lines will be taken out and if I like the soundtrack I'll keep it in, otherwise I'll be using the music from the anime.

Hopefully this time next year I'll be able to share with you Dragon Ball Evolution as satisfactory as possible. And if it's easy, I'll use the Japanese audio with altered dubtitles.

So look forward to "Dragon Ball Evolution: The Legend of Son Goku!"

So far I've started editing the trailer, took me a while but I managed to get Bulma's hair looking realistic and blue enough.

Sounds like a fun project but I can't help but to think you're jumping the gun a tad seeing as how the movie isn't even out yet. I would love to see the trailer though.

Ok, I did this with Image Ready, I swear when I'm doing the editing I'll use the right tone of green and blue... And the reason that tied looking part of her hair is left unedited is because I mistook it for a hairband...

Looks more like green to me, but maybe it'll look blue at a bigger size. Looking nice though!

Those are really cool, I'm not sure how much effort is required to edit the video like that but major kudos. I'm actually a lot more excited for this movie to come out now just to see the results of your project.

I'll be getting my computer all to myself in about 3 months so there'll be more space for the edits and such, It's gonna be fun. I'll also be using Adobe After Effects to edit effects.

I could make this as cartoonish as possible, which means I could do cloudy explosions for the Capsule bike and even do KABOOMs and what not.

If y'all hated The Phamtom Menace you should get around to torrenting The Phantom Edit along with The Balance of the Force, both awesome edits of that piece of crap first prequel, in Balance of the Force, stupid alien dialogue was dubbed over with a new made up alien language and subtitles. Jar Jar is made into a sarcastic coward rather than an annoying coward. I can't do anything like this unless I use the English and Japanese tracks at the same time which would make no sense. No doubt the movie will come out on DVD with surround sound so it'll be easy to edit dialogue out, along with After Effects to take out mouth movements.


That test gif of Bulma took a long while to edit but the speed was messing up and my computer kept crashing... You'll see something much better later on.

Also, which looks like a better hair colour for Bulma? Slopped them together in photoshop...

Purple which was the most used in the Manga

Bluey Green which is obviously from the first chapter and all of the anime.

Or an insane mixture of both?

Blue-green looks like the best of the three to me, but I think you should also try some different shades of blue and purple. It was usually colored lighter then that in the anime and manga.

A little more blue on the bluish-green version, and it'd be close to perfect IMO.

Still planning out how to approach my fanedit, but I won't be changing Bulma's hair color. That's all yours.

@topic i kinda like the idea of a reedit of DBE, but if you cut out all the dump lines, there will not be mutch left....better go for a re-dub^^
