"fu - ru - u - tsu"
I could be wrong, but isn't that indicating the plural, ''fruits'', instead?

"Furuutsu" would be "fruits", and "Furuuto" would be "fruit".

That's what I thought.

Rejoice, S, you were right after all. Now you can be all mean to VegettoEX.

Nah, I'd rather wait and celebrate when I actually AM right over him. He was off by one effing letter.

It's a race of people. That's multiple people. As in plural.

Thus, "fu - ru - u - tsu," giving us "tsu - fu - ru" (the word with a reversed syllable and one less elongated vowel sound).

So... explain to me how I'm wrong...?

That's how. ''furuutsu'' isn't ''fruit''. It's ''fruits''.

And yes, I know it's nitpicking, but until you confess being hypocritical on the whole ''Baby'' issue I'll haunt every little mistake you make. I'm an asshole like that.

Well, that's just me typo-ing and not adding the S at the end of the word :P. Still doesn't change anything.

What's hypocritical? "Baby" looks retarded :P.

So now I'm being added to the end of words? :p

So... back on topic... um... name puns... yeah. I'm still surprised there isn't one or two people here who don't know who Brock or Zorn is.

I'll admit, I've been scratching my head as well, but I've enjoyed reading the rest of the thread too much to say anything until now.

I'm not sure about this "Brock" character, but I recall Zorn (if that is infact his name) was an advisor to King Vegeta. He also survived the destruction of planet Vegeta to set up a refuge on planet Arlia.

Brock and Pumpkin where the Mirage Saiyans that they Z Senshi faced in the Pendulum Room.

Did Zorn really set up a refuge on Arlia, or is that a joke? If not, it must be my memory screwing with me again.

And I don't see where Pan of Greek mythology deals with Satan and Videl, unless it's the hooves-and-horns thing. A satyr is completely polar opposite of a demon.

I was kidding about the Arlia part...it was supposed to be funny, because Vegeta destroys it...come to think of it, it wasn't very funny. >.>

I thought it was.

And Pan's name is a double pun since it's the Japanese word for bread and ya, the little half goat god from Greek mythology with the horns. So her pun name is in tradition with both her mum and her dad.

Me too. And I see it as triple pun. Pan = Goat man, Pan = Bread, and Pan = Pan to cook rice in (yes, I know, it's a stretch, but I don't care. XP)

You're not wrong, but a lot can happen over 2500 years.

What the Hell? (no pun intended) Jeez... it irritates me when deities from other religions are turned into demons.
