If I were a child, some of that artwork would give me nightmares. (Horned Oozaru and wrinkles-for-miles Piccolo, inparticular).

Thank you for sharing though!

Maybe he'll be like a Time Lord and regenerate? (I have a feeling laserkid will be the only other person who gets that reference)
Then the Daleks will show up and EXTERMINATE! us all.....

Someone needs to write a Doctor Who/DBZ crossover right now, for great justice.

"I AM THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS!"
"Oh yeah? Well I'm the Lord of Time."

Honestly, I think the Doctor and Trunks should meet up sometime. :P

I know my friend who does a chrono trigger flash animation parody series intends to have the TARDIS fly by during the next time travel scene. xD

Anyway yeah those concept arts are way better then what we got. I'd say maybe the soupy broth acts like the steamed up tea did for the doctor and finishes up some sort of "transformation" to look more like the original. xD

To the notes proper - yeeesh, it probably still wouldnt have been as good as I'd want it, but god damn they had some good stuff they just ditched.

:? Most fans will got pretty pissed off if those designs would be their final designs. Though I really do not like them. Piccolo is definitely much better how it ended to be. Oozaru... the original design is pretty much uninteresting and they pretty much follow that design. The "fish" design is still the best.

Screw most of the fans, that's some pretty good looking concept art to me.

Personally, I'd like to see grown-up Gohan and Tenth!Doctor meet up. The ultimate meeting of badass bookworms, eh?

And yeah, Future Trunks meeting The Doctor would be so cool. Another "I have a sportscar and you have a space hopper!" line, anyone?

btw, awesome avatar.

EDIT: Trunks should crossover with Torchwood, actually. I mean, in that MMORPG, isn't Trunks basically a time agent? Cpt. Hart would have a field day with him. Oh hey, and that's JM too.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

The Simm!Master was the reason I originally got into the series. Just one scene, and I had to see more. Now, I'd like to think I'm a full fledged fanboy.

And yeah, now that I think about it, a "Trunkswood" story would be a brilliant idea.

So, I saw the movie.

Not bad, actually. I genuinely enjoyed it. I was surprised how little cheesiness there was, which was a good thing. Chow Yun Fat's acting in this is pretty bad, though.

I was okay with Justin Chatwin as Goku, and I think he could've done a decent job had he been given better material; no High School bullshit, him being pure-of-heart and innocent, etc.

The way it ended with Piccolo on the bed was satisfying. It was better than nothing, I think. To me, this is the movie version's way of having Piccolo become a good guy and a Z-Fighter. Maybe instead of Gohan giving him a change of heart (yeah yeah, it's not Piccolo Jr., I know), it's the hospitality of some asian chick. :P All-in-all, that doesn't really satisfy the desire to have it close to the original material, but alas. I really actually enjoyed James Marsters' portrayal of Piccolo.

I also liked Emmy Rossum as Bulma. I think she looked gorgeous with her hair the way it was. It was very girly yet she had the intelligence. Very Bulma-esque.

Also, for some reason, I found this to be very Bulma.

After Roshi talks about Piccolo escaping now after 2,000 years, her reaction:

:P

Yeah, I must say, as bad as the movie was, Emmy Rossum was still quite good in her role.

I'm almost the same way. I'd seen bits and pieces of it for a couple of years, as it would find its way on TV after Sci Fi began airing it. But it wasn't until I saw "The Sound of Drums" that I became officially hooked (and also why I turned right around and became a Torchwood fan too).
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

For whatever reason Piccolo does not make harm to Asian women. First is Mai, for whatever reason she is his slave (:P) and then, again, for whatever reason he stops Mai to kill that Asian girl, whom had a Dragonball. I guess because Piccolo spared her life she treats him at the end. And yes, both women are the same.

I keep looking at this thread every time I wake up.
"It's going to be locked today.
It's going to be locked today.
It's going to be locked today."
I'm amazed this thing is still going.

Well, we've been through:

"This sounds like shit.
-Come on, wait for the first pictures!"

"This looks like shit.
-Come on, wait for the trailer!"

"This still looks like shit.
-Come on, wait for the real trailer!"

"This still looks like shit.
-Come on, wait for the movie!"

You just can't quite expect the same passion once you've reached the point of:

"This is shit.
-Come on, wait for the US release!"

"This is still shit.
-Come on, wait for the DVD!"

"It will still be shit.
-Come on, there were some great abandoned drafts of the script!"

I think the reason it hasn't be closed is that there still is some legitimate discussion material here. Its the off topic remarks (not unlike yours, and I guess this one too) that have been hurting this thread pretty badly. I think VegettoEX realizes that if he closes this, then another one will be opened the minute a new topic comes to mind. So rather than having hundreds of little threads like "New concept image came up today" they can all be merged into this beast and prevent DBE topics from mixing in with real Dragon Ball topics.
Olivier Hague wrote:More rude, negative shit.
Have you contributed anything at all to this thread? Anything? Every time you post here it's to be negative or make fun of something that somebody said. We all understand you hate the movie.
SSj Kaboom wrote:Whatever the case, I'm glad the final Piccolo had the subdued, "embedded" antennae instead of protruding, dangly ones. They just look silly to me in real life, and probably would have ruined Piccolo's badassery.
I'm just glad he has them. I wonder though, if the movie ever gets to Namek, if the other Namekians will have embedded antennae or if they'll be dangly.

"Hate"? I hardly care about the movie.
