Oh, like the “dubbies” moniker is used with all the love and respect in the world.
I've never been a fan of the "They called me names first" defense, and I've never made any such comment about you. it's just not relevant, really.
Earlier in this thread or one other JAPPO was spoken of as not being “true fan of Dragonball” because he posted information concerning the movie. Now if he is labeled that for just talking about the movie only the gods know what I would be called for actually liking the film and desiring a sequel.
Nothing, apparently, looking at the past few pages and the complete lack of any such name-calling.
Concerning the “Kakarrot” thing, the “super fans” constantly attempts to correct me by screaming ‘his name is “Goku”!!’ On top of that, the Japanese only folks act as if they have the final say on all things Dragonball related (they are usually the ones that dislike the movie as well).
I only watch the Japanese version, I only consider the Japanese version Dragon Ball. I didn't like the film, either. Doesn't exactly mean that I have to say "All you Evolution-lovers" like it's some sort of "Me VS You" issue.
I am just voicing my opinion, or is us dubbies/"Evolution lovers" not allowed to do so?
I'm fine with your opinions about Evolution. I don't agree with them, but whatever, you can think whatever you want about a movie I personally think isn't any fun to watch. But it's just starting with lumping all those who dislike the film into a derogatory group and then saying their only goal is to come in and be snotty and ruin your fun, that's where I have a point of contention. It's the same issue I have with anybody who goes and makes snide remarks about JAPPO's interest in the film, acting as though his enjoyment of Evolution invalidates his dislike of anything else Dragon Ball.
"Us" vs "Them" just doesn't make for a good community, is all.
