I know you said Japanese or Ocean is your preference but I figure it can't hurt to send in an audition of me as Piccolo (Sabat's). It'd be fun to be a part of this project so like I said. Can't hurt to send in. I'll send tomorrow afternoon.

You should make a video with voice clips from the auditions to announce the winners so we can get a taste of what's to come.

Will do. I already have some similar videos planned, but with new lines. Expect to see a new preview in a few days (although the next one still may not have voices of the cast yet, it all depends).

Hm? I seem to have recieved a script, but I don't see my name in the cast?

(Although I notice a "SaiyamanDX" listed as "PLANET VEGETA SCIENTIST ONE", and as far as I'm aware, no such person exists. Is that supposed to be me?)

There's a very good possibility. We'll do everything in our ability to do so if it comes out. If it doesn't (or at least soon), we don't have plans at the moment to try using the audio clip we have that has most of the words cut out.

Just want to receive feedback on the following clip. I know there is a couple SFX missing and a sync problem or two, but focus on the overall feel of the clip. Cheska will do mixing, so it's up to him what he does. This is my take on the scene.

Well, the music was too loud, but otherwise the mix seemed ok.

As for the voices, Raditz was fine, but Piccolo's, well, I didn't like it. Does everyone think Piccolo should sound gruff and angry?

Nice sample, although I do agree that the music overbeared on the voices a little at times, particularly Raditz. And regarding Piccolo, is it just me or did he sound a bit like Cookie Monster for parts of it?

And the understudy roles... I'm runner up for both Krillin and Bardock? Darn, so close. Krillin was the one character I was really hoping for when I first auditioned.

It sounds like they're trying to sound like the Ocean Dub, you need to find people to sound like the Japanese voices!

Why does no one do that?!

I'm not gonna lie, everytime I try to imagine the Japanese voice for Goku in English...it just doesn't seem right to me.

Shoot, instead of trying to sound like any particular cast, why not try to sound like... the characters?

I agree with this, but after 20+ years of watching the anime with certain VA's for so long...it's kind of hard for most people to imagine any other voice fitting the characters.
