Mike and Meri do a little guest appearance over on R5 Central to talk about DragonBall, the recently-debuted "DragonBall Kai", a little bit about the (then to-be-released) "Evolution", and our Top 5 DBZ Movies That Don't Suck.
Well... hey, there! We just moved into the new house, and we still don't have anything unpacked, so we're going to take yet another week off while we continue setting "things" up (and by "things", I mean all the super-fun stuff... along with all the podcasting equipment). We didn't want to leave the regular listeners hanging, though, so we figured this would be a great inclusion. A couple weeks ago Meri and I recorded a guest appearance over on R5 Central, and since the episode has now gone live... it makes sense to share it with you!
The current plan is to get back into the swing of things for Episode #0174's "Manga Review of Awesomeness" to be released on May 10th. Until then, please enjoy this special episode!

R5 Central wrote:We’re a podcast that covers Japanese Pop Culture (anime, tokusatsu, music, cinema, the works) with healthy doses of convention coverage, news, reviews, occasional guest appearances, music from kickarse indie bands online and much much more.

Top 5
It was fun to listen to your choices for the top 5 DBZ movies. I have to say I was surprised that movie #9 was your #1. Very interesting. It is a good one though, from what I remember. I'll have to rewatch them all again, but I think one of my personal favorites is movie #6 ("Return of Cooler"), which didn't make the list
. Some great action sequences and crazy sci-fi elements in that one.
Oddly enough, Movie #3 has never really been one of my favorites and I'm a little surprised it was so high up there. I can remember watching it dubbed on CN back in the day, and I also remember seeing Rock the Dragon for the first time, too, which was pretty epic for a 8 year old. I suppose Movie #2 just means more to me, for that time period of my fandom.
