So, I assume each saga will get it's own intro animation... right?
So the question is, will the intro song change as well? Or will it be more like Cha-La Head Cha-La where the song was the same but there were minor animation differences. Thanks!
I always wondered why Dragon Ball was so stingy with changing its openings and closings. It's not as though it was a low budget production, it's fucking Dragon Ball, and I don't think it's got anything to do with age, either (Since Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku regularly shifted things around). Ah, well.SylentEcho wrote:I think they will make one more song. There are hardly going to be 120 episodes, so I don't think they'll make more than 2 themes.
Even if ratings meet Toei's expectations now, which is pure speculation on our parts anyway, interest and ratings could easily drop in the next 30-odd episodes.Kai_fan wrote:I know networks have to take that kind of stance "just in case," but the actual likelihood of Kai being cancelled before the end of the series has to be something like 100-to-1 doesn't it?
The ratings have been phenomenal for what the show is, especially relative to the cost of production. Kai is beating all kinds of first-run shows.
I think you might be right, which is unfortunate for me, but you'd probably love it if Kai stopped.Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote:Even if ratings meet Toei's expectations now, which is pure speculation on our parts anyway, interest and ratings could easily drop in the next 30-odd episodes.
I don't think Toei will cancel the show, but I wouldn't consider it impossible or unthinkable.
Why is it unfortunate? Why should someone not express their disgust with a product if they genuinely don't like it?DemonRin wrote:Kai is unfortunately, the new GT. a Dragon Ball everyone Loves to hate, so I wouldn't be surprised if it befell the same fate.
It's a situation that really speaks for itself.VegettoEX wrote:Why is it unfortunate? Why should someone not express their disgust with a product if they genuinely don't like it?
Furthermore, have you actually compiled any statistics to prove that the majority of people do not like Kai?
No, it's a situation that you think speaks for itself. I already tackled your baseless accusations in another thread where you were spouting this same crap, and I'm getting pretty tired of seeing it.DemonRin wrote:It's a situation that really speaks for itself.VegettoEX wrote:Why is it unfortunate? I don't care either way to be honest. I don't have a burning hatred for Kai or anything. I'm just disappointed that it didn't turn out nearly as well as I expected. So really, whether it's canceled or it goes on, I'm fairly apathetic...it's a curiosity. I do kind of hope it improves by the Namek arc, because that's the part of the series with pacing that kills me.DemonRin wrote: I think you might be right, which is unfortunate for me, but you'd probably love it if Kai stopped.
I'm actually fairly fond of GT myself. It's not the best Dragon Ball has to offer, but it's fun for what it is and it's overall better than most of the DB movies. But that's off-topic.Kai is unfortunately, the new GT. a Dragon Ball everyone Loves to hate, so I wouldn't be surprised if it befell the same fate.
Barely anyone does agree with me...Tweaker wrote:No, it's a situation that you think speaks for itself. Unless you have some kind of credible statistics that prove that an overwhelming majority of the show's general audience--in other words, just not a choice few people who happen to visit this and other internet forums--then you have absolutely no basis for your claims. Stop trying to make yourself out as some kind of sentient supporter of the series who nobody else agrees with. Quite frankly, it's embarrassing to see.
Ignoring everything else you've said, it seems pretty strange that you seem to think people "hate" Kai through and through with no additional explanation.DemonRin wrote:The fact of the matter does stand though that everybody (here at least) besides a handful of people hates Kai to some extent and I have been called things like Hypocrite for liking Kai.
When people refer to watching the show as "Watching a Trainwreck", what am I supposed to think?VegettoEX wrote:Ignoring everything else you've said, it seems pretty strange that you seem to think people "hate" Kai through and through with no additional explanation.
Personally, I don't "hate" Kai. It didn't murder my (unborn) children, it didn't point out my personal flaws, it didn't insult my wife, and it hasn't (as far as I'm aware) made any anti-Semitic remarks (gotta look out for Julian, of course).
Does my saying I dislike parts of its music and pacing come across as "hate"? Do you think you're perhaps reading into things too much just to justify your own position? Near as I can tell, Tweaker's called you out dead-on.
