Gamecube Budokai 2 Screenshots

Post by Mugenmidget » Thu Dec 02, 2004 10:03 pm

And it looks like the game will look pretty darn nice with my Progressive Scan setup.

The weird thing is how "unjagged" they look until the end. It's almost as if they just reused some Playstation 2 shots to make a second page.

Wow, that's actually really impressive. It's like the graphics got a complete make-over, like they did last time with Budokai 1. I might actually consider picking it up again.

The only thing I'm mad about is...

WHERE BE THE BEEF?

Also known as Piccolo with cape and other assorted Japanese extras.

If anyone can get something besides that "Budokai 2 Gone Gold" announcement then I'd feel better about those extras having a chance at being included. But as of now I think that Dranet was misinformed or just having a slow news day.

But I guess it would be fairly easy to pop those in...

I believe all the extra's were already announced somewhere (EBgames I think). It's almost exactly the same as DBZ2 in Japan, but without Kuriza (and Coola, from DBZ2V). How lame is that, they would actually take something out needlessly. And I don't want to hear that American fans would be confused, who gives a damn?

No Kuriza?

Hulk is MAD!

But at least there's the other cool beans.

Extra stuff? Then I'll have to get that and B3 next year on Gamecube, the only one of two consoles I own (GBA)!

Screens look sweet, but the lack of decent extras makes me ask:
"Why bother?"

Wow, those graphics look almost better than Budokai 3's. If I wasn't so used to playing the Budokai games on a Playstation controller and the games weren't so similar I'd definitely get that Gamecube version. I traded in both Budokai's 1 & 2 when I went to get 3.

Well, you can fix the first problem with a converter. But since you own the PS2 Budokai 3 I don't see why you should worry about this game.

The graphics look horrible...

Extras eh? This means:
-Kuriza (if they pay the license)
-Extra DW level

Also:

They have the Evening/Day thing. See the screenshot backgrounds?

The visuals for the Budokai series always look terrible as screen-shots, nevermind zoomed-in screen-shots. It definitely looks quite nice in motion.

I'm guessing either those shots were TOO high-res or just plain WRONG because you can see plenty others on IGN that look just fine.

Most likely

Purchasing a dbz game that isnt super sonic warriors is pretty frowned upon though...

Man, you haven't touched Advance Adventure yet.

Once you try that, you'll have TWO good Dragonball Z games.

Of course, I'll continue to like everything from Butoden to Ultimate Battle 22 (except for Taiketsu,) being the fan I am.
