Rumor about Tenshinhan and Lunch?

Something I heard a few years ago. It's likely untrue, but I'm curious anyway. I know someone mentioned it on Pojo a few years ago and I think someone may have mentioned it here as well. Apparently when asked "Who would Trunks end up with," he replied "a daughter of Tenshinhan and Lunch."

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this statement? Maybe an interview? If not, have all of the Daizenshuu/Guide Books been fully translated?

I could imagine a daughter with those two, But would she have the extra eye or the bi-polar disorder thing? I don't think I could really see it happening. Maybe you read it in some fanfic or something... At least it's better than Trunks getting hooked up with Pan - It's quite the age difference.

I think their romance never worked out, because of Tenshinhan's reclusiveness. Maybe Lunch made him choose between her and Chaozu!

Anyway, it would've been funny if Lunch appeared to Tenshinhan one day with a child. From that one special night. XD I wonder what his reaction would be if that would happen...

Basically, Toriyama (supposedly) said that if it were up to him, Vegeta Jr. would descend from Trunks... but also a bunch of other characters (and I think Trunks was indeed coupled with Tenshinhan and Lunch's child... it's been a while...).

Of course, with no exact source, you might want to take that with a grain of salt. At least.
(and even if it was true, I'm pretty sure it was really just a "if it were up to me (but it isn't, as I didn't create Vegeta Jr.)" scenario, so...)

Ah, that's what I get for posting this so late at night. Yes, I did mean Toriyama.

I seem to remember seeing something about that on the Japanese Wikipedia a while back...
Basically, Toriyama (supposedly) said that if it were up to him, Vegeta Jr. would descend from Trunks... but also a bunch of other characters (and I think Trunks was indeed coupled with Tenshinhan and Lunch's child... it's been a while...).

Of course, with no exact source, you might want to take that with a grain of salt. At least.

Thanks so much for the link. Not sure if we can trust Wikipedia, but at least I now know where those rumors are probably coming from. I wish they had given a source.

Thanks so much for the link. Not sure if we can trust Wikipedia, but at least I now know where those rumors are probably coming from. I wish they had given a source.

It should be noted that the wiki article, as Olivier mentioned, is most likely BS. Meanwhile by the time the manga ended, Toriyama did specify that Lunch was missing since the 23rd budokai because she never managed to find him.

There would be a huge age gap between Trunks and the offspring of Tenshinhan and Lunch unless there was a secret love child we did not know about. In addition, who are the other characters he mentioned, Herms can you look at this so we can get some clarification?

Oi, that's almost as bad as the family trees for my AH fic. Interesting, though. And it means Krillin gets to accomplish *something*, even if it is through a Great Great grandson. XD

so Vegeta Jr. in GT isn't really Super Saiyan, he can just sneeze and it's done...... God damn it, somebody please kill that people which are making these awesome rumors.

There's a little bit of imbreeding in that tree. Bra's grandchild hooks up with Trunk's grandchild.

Incest like this isn't entirely uncommon, and you may hear from other people that it's pretty normal in Japan, though I'm not touching that topic seeing as it's just hearsay for me.

Well also on this chart we have Bulma being the daughter of Dr. Briefs and...Panchy? Is that a made up name or just a place holder as Dr. Briefs calls her bunny or something like that doesn't he? Which would be Usagi instead of Panchy (gotta love Sailor Moon, eh?).

Anyhow, just wanted to point that out.

Well, the Japanese Wikipedia page just says "Bulma's mother," but Olivier is using the name ("Panchy," from "Panty") that Toriyama suggested in Dragon Ball Forever.

Oh wow...I didn't know I watched enough of the dub to even know that...

Happens all the time in the real world. Go back a few generations and you'll eventually find someone your related to on both your mother's and father's sides.

Hell, everyone on this planet shares at least one common ancestor within the last few thousand years. Especially if you believe in the Biblical flood and Noah's ark~

'sides, Trunks and Bra are royalty. If the were old Earth royalty they'd have probably married each other. XD

Only because it was shorter though. I wouldn't consider it the official name.
