Yeah especially since Season One flashbacks in later sets looked even worse than in Season One.jjgp1112 wrote:The flashbacks always look pretty bad, so hopefully those aren't indications.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:Well if this is what we all think it is, then this might be how it will end up looking. Yikes! But let's not jump to any conclusions just yet.

We do not know.Innagadadavida wrote:So does anybody know what might have taken place in order for FUNi to begin distributing them on their own? License expire? Did they buy the license? The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
When I first calculated the amount of episode it seems will be in this set (32), I thought they must be starting at fourteen, but even that stops at about the mid-Red Ribbon Army Arc. Then again, episode 46 is exactly where the run of filler ends, and the "General Blue Saga" begins, so I'm guessing they releasing this season starting with the "Tournament Saga".

I wouldn't count on that runtime to be accurate. Most of the other info looks off. Besides, who knows if they count things like having the OP and ED on the discs 30-odd times.SSj_Rambo wrote:When I first calculated the amount of episode it seems will be in this set (32), I thought they must be starting at fourteen, but even that stops at about the mid-Red Ribbon Army Arc. What else looks off? And the run-time FUNimation provides for all of its other season sets seem consistent with the [runtime/23=episodes] ratio.SSJ Helldog wrote:I wouldn't count on that runtime to be accurate. Rating = TV-14, only language is Japanese, and (here's hoping this is wrong) widescreen. Think I saw a typo in the description, too.SSj_Rambo wrote:What else looks off? Holy effing shit. If this is real (fingers crossed for some inaccurate information) then I will lose it. I have been dying to watch all of Dragon Ball since I only got as far as Muscle Tower. This would make my life, not day, life. Then I can really own it all.
Please FUNimation, don't let me down by it being in widescreen and not including episodes 1-13.

Definitely go for it, Tanooki. Any sort of confirmation on this thing would be amazing, especially if they could give us some solid info on the product.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:AnimeNext is this weekend. If FUNimation has a booth... thingy, I can ask whats up with this. They probley will have no idea what I'am talking about but hey, it's worth a shot.
Do you think this might be a leak of some sort? I mean, getting this info just days before a con where this information might be validated?

Well this kinda thing happened once before with "The First Strike" DVD box set. I asked when will movies 1,2 and 3 be re-dubbed and they actually gave me a date but by the time I got home to tell the world, the listings were popping up on Amazon and other sites. So it's possible but I guess we'll see.Do you think this might be a leak of some sort? I mean, getting this info just days before a con where this information might be validated?
Note the freakishly low price. This is just leftovers of the DVDs released prior to the two-packs.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:Also, it seems they are releasing the two DBZ TV specials on seperate disc's. Odd...

This could only make sence if each disc was chop full of extra's and goodies about each special. But we all know that won't be the case so... what the fuck?
Ah, such is FUNimation...

For the TV-14 thing, isn't Dragon Ball a little bit more heavy with the sexual-humor than DBZ?
I haven't really seen much of the Dragon Ball anime, so I'm not sure: Do they actually show Bulma's breasts in those parts?

There's only one time in the series where you can actually see everything: the invisible man fight. And it's only for one or two frames. Every other time she's nude they're obscured by something (Bubbles, stars, etc.)Big Momma wrote:For the TV-14 thing, isn't Dragon Ball a little bit more heavy with the sexual-humor than DBZ?
