I didn't expect this universe's Pan to be a fighter. She's not exactly wearing what looks like battle attire.
I expect Bojack to win, since he'd be an interesting(though powerless) opponent for Cell.

I think you just have to mail Salagir and ask him: here you can read how to mail him: http://mail.salagir.com/index.php?lang=en#dbm.Dayspring wrote:At the risk of sounding arrogant: I agree!Innagadadavida wrote:Why not have Dayspring do it?
Seriously though, I wouldn't mind. Anybody know where I'd sign up?
EDIT: Wait, what do they mean by "editors?" To fill the bubbles and sound effects, or to edit the English text?
And if you look here you can see that Faye puts all the text in the bubbles, so you just have to send Salagir the translations. (Maybe you can also send him your translation of the bonus thing I asked to translate a little time back.)
Finally the fight is over

I do hope they get Bojack right this time, because he's wrong on page 56(he wears a shirt) and on page 98(he wears a shirt and has a collar), they did have him right on page 36 but they forgot the scarf on his chest, they also have Zangya wrong everywhere excepted on page 36.
Like Eison said, all you have to do is provide the English text. You will be given the French source. It's easier than it seems. All you have to do is mail Salagir, if you are in you will be given a nickname and password and the link for the administrative website. From there you'll have access to all the text in every page of the website and you can translate or re-translate everything. The most important thing is that you got to be fluent in French in order to translate it. Bear in mind that I use both the English and French versions as source to do my own in Portuguese.Dayspring wrote:At the risk of sounding arrogant: I agree! :DInnagadadavida wrote:Why not have Dayspring do it?

Yowza... What doesn't help is the awkward syntax used for the original page.
My translation:
So Vegetto really was the only one to read Cell properly and Gohan and Piccolo -but NOT Goku- were idiots after all.
It should also be noted that Pan used an expression that gets lost in translation. "It's my turn!" or "I'm on it!" also work as acceptable translations.
Just to avoid confusion, this is the Pan from Vegetto's Universe, so the Gohan at the end is not the same as the Gohan from the beginning.
EDIT: Seems I missed the last page of this thread.
Thanks for the info; I'll email Salagir later today/tomorrow.
My translation:
Direct translation doesn't work here unless you feel Gohan's diction as an adult scolar has raised significantly, as a direct translation would read "He was effectively superior to Dabura."Cell: ...Nice Try
Gohan: Cell won. So then he was stronger than Dabura after all.
Because of how "the" is used in French, it could also be translated as "Regeneration helps a lot," meaning regeneration in general instead of the specific regeneration just used.Piccolo: The regeneration helped a lot.
The original used awkward diction, on top of making pronoun confusion error, so I had take some minor liberties here. The original reads "He's still weaker than ours when he returned." Piccolo is saying that our Super Perfect Cell is still stronger than this Cell.Piccolo: He's still weaker than when our Cell returned after self-destructing.
Cell: Weaker, huh?
Cell: Then it seems I managed to perfectly suppress my strength to a level equal to that of at the beginning of my Cell Game.
So Vegetto really was the only one to read Cell properly and Gohan and Piccolo -but NOT Goku- were idiots after all.

In other words, Super Perfect Cell is stronger than SSJ2 Cell Games Gohan in both universes. In Cell's universe, thanks to the bonus section, we know that Vegeta never distracted Cell, which means Gohan didn't get to overtake him in the kamehameha duel. How Cell would know this implies that Gohan is now significantly weaker than after the Kaioshin power up was first achieved, possibly weaker than SSJ2 Cell Games Gohan.Announcer: 30 seconds have passed! Cell of Universe 17 is the winner!
Cell: They'll be quite surprised when I face them. However, I wonder...
Cell: ...how they managed to defeat me if my failed suicide still took place in their world. I was clearly stronger than that Son Gohan.
The announcer actually says "superb fight," but we don't quite say superb in English anymore, unless it's preceded by "It's a" or "What a," so I think it's best to use a synonym here. I chose "spectacular" because I find the diction is closer than "amazing" or "outstanding," while still starting with an S.Announcer: Spectacular fight! Let's continue with Pan from Universe 16, who will face off against Bojack from Universe 6!
Pan: Cool! That means me!
It should also be noted that Pan used an expression that gets lost in translation. "It's my turn!" or "I'm on it!" also work as acceptable translations.
Contextual translation. Note that "yeah" (ouais) in French is only used in the "Woohoo! Alright!" context, which is why the original version only said "yes" (oui) instead.Gohan: Pan!
Pan: Yeah, dad?
Just to avoid confusion, this is the Pan from Vegetto's Universe, so the Gohan at the end is not the same as the Gohan from the beginning.

I'm American, and I also use superb. Although, to be fair, it is usually to poke fun at something, because the connotation in the US tends to be snooty, when it is actually used.DNA wrote:Sorry to be nitpicky, but superb is still used in England.Dayspring wrote:The announcer actually says "superb fight," but we don't quite say superb in English anymore, unless it's preceded by "It's a" or "What a," so I think it's best to use a synonym here. This was what I meant. In English, superb is used for different diction. In England for elegance, and in North America for mock-elegance. The context here is casual, such as words like "awesome."Freeza Heika wrote:I'm American, and I also use superb. In the movie Bojack took care of Vegeta and Trunks quite easily, so he's presumably the same strength or probably a little weaker than Cell. Gohan took him out instantly when he transformed to Super Saiyan 2.Scarz wrote:I've never watched the Bojack special so how powerful is he compared to the fighters from universe 6?

Gohan didn't take "Super" Perfect Cell out with ease, though. So, Bojack should be a little weaker than Cell, since Gohan trounced him after transforming into a Super Saiya-Jin 2.SSJ2bardock wrote:In the movie Bojack took care of Vegeta and Trunks quite easily, so he's presumably the same strength or probably a little weaker than Cell. I think he was referring to pre-zenkai Cell, which Gohan was punting around with ease.Pain wrote:Gohan didn't take "Super" Perfect Cell out with ease, though. Which makes me wonder if it would be better to say that Dabura is as powerful as Bojack.Deep Thought wrote:I think he was referring to pre-zenkai Cell, which Gohan was punting around with ease.Pain wrote:Gohan didn't take "Super" Perfect Cell out with ease, though. The last panel of the newest page (125) actually made me think... maybe Gohan realizes that his daughter doesn't stand a chance, and will fight in her stead.
I have no idea if the tournament rules'd allow this, but it's always possible.

Anyhow, I actually wouldn't mind the idea of Gohan taking over for her, but considering the title of the chapter...the only real chance of that happening is some time mid-fight.
It's odd, 125 (soon to be 126) pages in and we haven't quite seen a traditional KameHame-Ha yet. I'm actually getting a little anxious to see one.

My prediction (and you heard it here first, folks):
Pan will beat Bojack. She may even go Super.

Meanwhile, here's 126's translation (they did pretty well):
Meanwhile, here's 126's translation (they did pretty well):
I know "my dear" seems awkward in this context (for a father-daughter conversation), but the original used "ma cherie" instead of just "cherie." Cherie on its own works as "dear/sweety/sweetheart/honey/etc," but emphasizing it with "my" first kind of implies that it should be translated as "dear" or "love." Blame any awkward sentiments on author's diction.Gohan: My dear, I know Bojack.
Gohan: He's someone very cruel, and he is much more powerful than you.
NOTE: Gohan's last sentence may also read as "...Just to pay close attention."Pan: I won't forfit!
Gohan: I'm not asking you to.
Gohan: ...Just to be very careful.
"Wooosh" doesn't necessarily translate to French identically, which is why they have a bunch of Us thrown in for the original French version. It's meant to make the same sound though, so I agree with the change used. The second effect was completely off, though. Either it would be left alone, or translated to "Ziuu" or "Zeeooo," etc. EDIT: The sound effect is literally pronounced as "You" with a Z in front of it.Bojack: This will be over quickly.
Sound effect 1: Woooosh
Sound effect 2: Ziuuu

That sounds about right, first we had Cell beat Dabra and then they would take the person with the least chance of going Super Saiyan and make them achieve the form in place of someone like Bra. Frankly, I do not think anything will surprise me anymore about this manga.Innagadadavida wrote:...My prediction (and you heard it here first, folks):

The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
