1, 2, and 3 seem plausible. I'd say 3 is the most likely to happen, but 4 ain't happening. It's like asking for Rock the Dragon or god forbid Take the Grand Tour on the Z and GT sets.
And what do you mean by "Ocean" opening?
The original Funimation intro from 1995or
this...thing from the Blue Water dub? The former probably won't be on there simply because Funimation seems to want to forget everything original about their older dubs, intros and all. The latter won't work because it was never in the Funimation dub in the first place.

Woops!! I meant the original opening that they used for the first dub-only 13 episodes.

That's definitely not happening.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

2 is not going to happen. FUNimation doesn't do alternate angles anymore, so the english credits and title cards will be the only ones on the DVD.
GT is underrated and the International Channel will always be my favorite channel for foreign programming. I still miss it.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the remastered movies the only ones that didn't have multiple angles? I'm pretty sure the Z sets still did, though I'm not really in a position to check right now...

The Z Season Sets do have alternate angles.
The GT Season Sets and the Double Features do not. (Which is funny, because the kanji opening credits are intact on Movie 13, while the title is redone in English.)
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Ah, okay. Thought so.

Yeah, and they're annoying for those of us trying to use that footage for AMV'ing. >:/

I'm there Day 1, I haven't watched DragonBall since YTV pulled the repeat slot in 2005.

Step into the Grand Tour is on the GT sets, the second set.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is Afro Samurai. But it has to be DragonBall.

He's the executive producer of every Funimation property. His opinion actively influences every release.
I have a strange feeling to doubt that.
Indeed. Just look on the back of every Funimation release and look whose name you see listed as "Executive Producer".
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

They just updated to announce that the set isn't officially confirmed.

It hasn't been announced by Funimation yet, so I don't want to get my hopes up. But I will say that I've been waiting since the DBZ season sets were being released that I've wanted Dragon Ball sets badly. Really hoping this is for real.

If these sets are real and FUNi's learned from their mistakes, then I'll probably get these as a cheap way to fill the pre-Kai gap since I don't think Toei's gonna go back and do a more manga-accurate version of the original Dragonball anytime soon.

I hope in a few years after Kai, Toei goes over the entire series and reanimates it from the beginning, sans filler. They've heard plenty of criticism from both Japanese and American fans over the decision to not reanimate the series. I find that a little more likely than a Kai-esque recut of the first portion of the series.

I think Dragonball would have to fade into the background a lot for it to get a reanimated series . It would be cool no doubt but I can't see it happening so long as the series is really booming.
Then again I would have said the same thing about Kai so...what do I know?

Either way they go about it, it'll be well after FUNi's Blue Bricks and Toei's Kai Blu-Ray boxes before I have to worry about a home release of newly re-animated Dragonball.

Why no proper Opening and Ending animations? They messed it up for the old releases and just had opening 1 and ending 2.
