This isn't GT Pan we're talking about. It's entirely possible she'll surprise us and go Super Saiyan.

But even so, unless she's mastered it and has SSj2, or has some other sort of trick up her sleeves... The most I expect her to do is put up a good fight. Bojack is FAR beyond the "typical" Super Saiyan.

Who said anything about GT, I thought the Daizenshuu also stated that Pan could not go Super Saiyan because of her blood being diluted.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

That sounds about right, first we had Cell beat Dabra and then they would take the person with the least chance of going Super Saiyan and make them achieve the form in place of someone like Bra. Frankly, I do not think anything will surprise me anymore about this manga.
How is Cell beating Dabura irrealistic at all? Assuming neither trained ever, Cell is already at least as strong as Dabura. Meanwhile, it's been proven that this Cell has been up to something in the last few decades. Like Vegetto pointed out: it doesn't make sense for Cell NOT to be stronger.

So I'm guessing that I'm the only one who thinks it's extremely obvious that Pan is going to win this? I mean it wouldn't be the first time some bull shit like this was pulled out, after all, she did beat Goten at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai.... which probably isn't saying much, but it's still something of note.

The Daizenshuu don't cover GT. Only the GT Perfect File books do, and as far as I can remember, they're the books in which Pan's lack of GT was mentioned. But since GT doesn't occur in the DBM-verse, that wouldn't matter.

EDIT: Turns out it WAS Daizenshu 7, in Pan's little profile. Ah well, I still say it's a crappy reason and the DBM guys can make her an SSj if they want. :P

It seems fairly likely to me that Goten would throw the match and let his cute little niece "beat him up" and win it. Or it's entirely possible she hit him hard n' off-guard since he'd been mostly slacking.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing seeing as how for Goten he can really only lose. If you beat you're little niece you look like an ass in front of your family and friends, so he pretty much had to lose.

Why is everyone so fascinatied by Cell? Even my father before he died was a fan of his/it. I sincerely hope that Cell is not the final threat Saligir alluded to a while ago. Let it be an evil Uub or Ozotto the Super Monster. We know very little about that enemy so they could pull whatever they want out of their collective asses with him/it.

I'd like to think that the final threat would be "Evil Popo" or just Broly.

I sure hope the new threat is not one of their bullshit self-made characters. No offence to them but so far all the characters they created are pretty bland and boring.

Ozotto would be a very nice surprise, we might actually have seen him already, pretending to be some other character :D

Because right now he's the only walking threat in this tournament. Sure, we know Broli will be defrosting some time in the future, but that could be a thousand pages from now.

It's not matter of my liking Cell at all: this Cell is stated to come from a universe identical to ours, with the exception of Gohan not having that extra boost in the kamehameha duel. Meanwhile this Dabura is stated to be as strong as our Dabura. That right there tells us that this Cell has to be a hell of a lot stronger than Dabura. Even if they were at the same strength as when we met them, they'd either be equal in strength, or Cell being stronger (since our Dabura is equal to either our Perfect or Super Perfect Cell). Regardless, it makes no sense for this to have been an easy win for Dabura.

But yeah, I agree Salagir went waaay over the top with their battle because Cell is his favorite. This was just a preliminary match, after all.

EDIT: Anybody else hoping to see a Satan vs Satan match? "What a close match!"

I wouldn't say it was over the top. This battle had exciting twists and turns and was a duel between two 'giants' with fearsome power. It couldn't be some wimpy battle.

Keep in mind that not a single one of these twists and turns was necessary: it was obvious from the beginning that Cell was in complete control of the battle. Added to that, this is just another preliminary match (ie: not important at all to the overall plot with the exception of the last page), and lasted 15% of the entire series so far. Not just the tournament, the series as a whole. It made up 23% of the tournament. In contrast to the DB manga, that's like having one unimportant fight last the length of the entire Boo saga.

Yes, but this is for fun. For the authors' own personal self-enjoyment, they're simply sharing it with us.

The authors have set themselves in this for the long haul. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to allow myself to become so tangled up in this "It's taking too long" mentality because there's plenty of other things to do while we wait for each new page. 15% will be even less in two, three, and six months from now. You can't look at the percentages when it comes to a wholly incomplete story.

This isn't about the end, it's about the journey.

I didn't hear you complaining when that shithead Broly was magically able to fight Vegetto.

That's exactly my point, though. If you run out of ideas in a battle as irrelevent as a preliminary, it's time to move on.

You're actually complaining about Pan becoming Super Saiyan over Bra?! Bra's not even a fighter, for God's sake. Sometimes you take the Vegeta fanboyism too far.

Actually, it's not that crazy. Pan is 1/4th Saiyan, whereas Bra is 1/2 Saiyan. If Bra was actually a fighter (which isn't there a girl who looks like Bra in this series), her going super wouldn't break any Daizenshuu rules.
