Budokai 3 Combo Video

Post by Mighty Gojira » Sun Dec 12, 2004 2:28 am

A poster on the Shoryuken forums has recently made a combo video for B3. It's pretty interesting. As a fan of fighting games, it's nice to see that B3 seems to have more depth than the previous titles. Heads-up to all the kids on 56k; the zip file is 30 megs give-er-take. Enjoy and discuss.

Wow

Looking at that I see how truly terrible I am at this game, at least compared to these guys, it's taken me long enough to figure out that teleporting isn't just for wusses, although the PS2 figured that out long ago. (Still didn't help me on some occasions esp vs Androids since they teleport like crazy and do an awful lot of Counter-Countering), and didn't even realise you could cancel a combo (still don't know how) until yesterday

I did think the Transformation knockback could be useful but hey, great stuff. Just wish I wasn't so ham fisted with the Ps2 Controller :(

I am the Sea of Chaos

I am The Lord of Nightmares

Sadly, these combos wont do crap againest a human oppenent, much less the CPU.

They look very cool though, sick juggling, Mortal Kombat style.

The juggling was actually really nice; I use transformations as a way to stun my oponent, but I never thought of using it as part of a combo. In actuly battle, I'm pretty sure the CPU would simply teleport away, unless it was out of Ki.

The video was pretty sweet to watch as well, but you should've turned off the games music inside the options menu, because it gets overlapped with the song you put in, very annoying.

Well, I didn't make it or anything. I do have to agree, Linkin Park is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Secondly, a big problem with combo videos is that the combos aren't always applicable to actual matches. They're made to demonstrate what is possible with the game's combo engine. The guy that made it is going to be putting some match videos up soon though.

Pretty sweet, and I don't mind Linkin Park that much.

There's also a tutorial video by the same guy if you browse the forum.

Wow, cool. I actually like that linkin park song...

Yamcha was awesome, I also enjoyed Freeza's combos. B3 looks a lot better than its predecessors but I still dont know if it can compete with other fighting games.
