It's on the DVD. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
I remember awhile back on the AnimeonDVD forums, there was some question as to whether or not FUNimation had removed the couple frames of Bulma's exposed breasts. Although I've been told recently it was left intact, I never saw any proof of such. But the removal of those few frames are very unlikely.Kunzait_83 wrote:How so?Innagadadavida wrote:Yeah, except we just found out that they didn't leave it untouched on the DVD either.

It's because it was only like two or 3 frames. It went very fast.Innagadadavida wrote:Well, maybe I just missed it. Although, I find it unlikely that I missed seeing Bulma's tits. I always find it funny that Bulma's boobs are the biggest driving factor and most often thought-of subject when it comes to uncensored Dragonball. Yesh, I know. "Artistic integrity" and "intended viewing" and all of that stuff. It has nothing to do with the fact that over 90% of us are guys in the age range of 14 to 30, right? Right?
Anywho, I'm pretty sure that even in the original Japanese version they cut the actual amount of time short as to not have boobs hanging out for the specific purpose of having a pervert see them on a kids' show. Yeah, it's Japan, but the nudity in that sense was kinda sexual considering why Krillin pulled her top down. I mean, even the anime scene of Bulma showering when Yamcha was spying on them has some clever ways of covering up her under-aged assets.
If you wanna look at the scene frame-by-frame just to see some Bulma boobs, be my guest. But, you're going to have a much easier time if you just read the manga. Once you find what volumes you're looking for, Amazon Japan's selling the Tankoubon for like $5 a volume.
So, don't worry. You can sleep well knowing that Toriyama's artistic integrity is intact because that's what's important, right? Because this has absolutely nothing to do with guys getting to see Bulma's boobs.

Yeah, I know. You actually do care about artistic integrity. I would think you're all just perverts, but this community also threw a shit-fit when baby Goku's penis wasn't in Dragonball Kai. I'm pretty sure that doesn't arouse the people here.
Since we are on the topic of Bulma's boobs, I was wondering about a certain clip. In a AMV made by Rocketman, there is a clip of Bulma dressed in the bunny outfit exposing her breasts to the camera in a front shot. Now I don't recall this ever happening. In the Manga it's a side shot, and in my MadMan set it is also a side shot, so where the hell is this clip from?

There's small text at the bottom of my post clarifying that I didn't really think that we were just a bunch of perverts. I just didn't wanna ruin the mood of, and the joke behind, my post. It's right under where I, too, posted pictures of Bulma's boobs.Kunzait_83 wrote:For the record, I only threw up the screencaps to show that the DVDs really ARE fully unedited, since I hapened to have them on hand, and everyone else seemed to be kinda like "well MAYBE they're uncut but we have no way of knowing for sure".Kendamu wrote:I always find it funny that Bulma's boobs are the biggest driving factor and most often thought-of subject when it comes to uncensored Dragonball. Don't worry. I was just messing around when I was calling us all perverts. To bring up my small text point, if we really were just horny kids wanting to see cartoon boobs then this community wouldn't have had a nerd rage over baby Goku's penis not being in Kai.

While I certainly don't support censored manga, I pretty much don't care about Bulma's boobs in any scene other than this one. I'm pretty indifferent on that matter, even if I would rather have the material uncensored. The only reason we need them here is because, when you watch the fight, this bit of frontal nudity is really the only way Yamcha defeats the Invisible Man, so it's kind of an important plot point. But I realize your post was a joke, so yeah.Kendamu wrote:I always find it funny that Bulma's boobs are the biggest driving factor and most often thought-of subject when it comes to uncensored Dragonball. But I don't want to hijack this thread and turn it into a topic where we all justify why we each think Bulma's boobs are important, so I'll get back to the topic of the sets.
Wait, so the DVD was never edited in the first place? FUNi cutting the few frames from the episode was a lie? Haha, I always love the mini-debates that take place in the season set threads where we think something's wrong but it turns out to be fine, just the result of us not knowing the full story on something. First the controversy about the GT eyecatchers being cut, and then this, both the result of us all jumping to conclusions.
Conspiracy theories FTW.

Besides, this is the internet. If you don't get Bulma's boobs on the sets, I'm pretty sure they'll be easy to find elsewhere.

That's why I said "But I realize your post was a joke, so yeah."
S'cool. I knew you were just funnin'.
So anyway, as talk of these is spreading, a lot of fans are talking about how they want extras on this release. Old commercials, commentaries, whatever. Some people on another forum are thinking about maybe asking FUNi for some on the Blog. So if you guys want extras, this might be a good thing to try out. It'd certainly be a good thing to do if we want to make sure FUNi knows about the other versions of the opening and ending, in addition to the fact that none of us want it cropped.
If we get a decent number of people doing that, it might actually work. Probably not for season one since that's likely already being worked on, but we might be able to get something for the remaining seasons if we try.

Also I didn't realize that people thought FUNimation censored this scene on their uncut releases.
