What?! That's easily one of/if not the favorite episode for me. :D

Do you think the latter half of DBZ Abridged dipped in humor/quality? As we've gone on, we've treated the show a little more seriously, though we've tried our very best to keep it funny and entertaining. We wanted to make the epic scenes epic while still supplying humor; give the fans a dynamic and original angle rather than just comedy.

I'm asking you guys, honestly, how you feel about episode 6-10.
I'd say the humor in the later half was actually slightly better. And the quality definitely improved.

There's no need for there to be gags constantly, or an endless assault of jokes so there's no breathing room for the story to develop, because then you'd be Family Guy.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Most of those episodes contain some of my favorite jokes. There definitely doesn't seem to be a dip in quality to me. Although, in the finale, you could definitely tell a difference. Still good though.

Goku and Vegeta's bantering back and forth was some of my favorite stuff--I liked "gumdrops and ice cream" mountain and squeaky-toy Goku so much I drew fanart of them. I am also a huge fan of "DODGE!" and I think you guys did really well on all the episodes.

I think you did VERY well with the deaths. If you did nothing but joke after joke after joke without taking into account the actual plotline it would verge on awkward. It'd be "too soon".

The voices themselves (which I thought were good throughout) really improved towards the end; Lanipator!Vegeta in the finale was amazing! I've never heard a Vegeta who can belt out such classic-horror-movie-victim-sounding screams. X3

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but fellow abridger (maybe even "father of abridgers" if you want to go there) LittleKuribo's latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged episodes have a couple references to TFS. The first being a cameo by Ghost Nappa in episode 40 and the other being a call-out the TFS themselves in episode 41.

... and of course, LK's (sarcastic) call-out to all other abridgers in his Eminem parody.

Ghost Nappa appearing in YGO's is wonderful. XD

*just watched the entire first season*

I think it actually got better toward the end. The first few episodes were great, the last few episodes were AWESOME, the couple in the middle? Still good, but not as great as the bookend stuff.

I love Vegeta's role as the "one sane man" (so to speak).

What's really amazing is that even with this as a complete and total parody, it can still be serious and engaging when it needs to be.

The I love most about abridged is that you can still get the gist of DBZ from watching it. Theproduction value of these episode are astounding to me. TFS has done a fantastic job and I can't even express how excited I am for season 2.

I second that!
To be honest my fav character in DBZ is Vegeta and I love the way you guys portray him in DBA!
My fav scene of DBA is the beam-struggle between Goku and Vegeta. EPIC! ("Uh, did he just say garlik?")

Keep up the good work guys! Just follow your intuitions like you did in season 1 and everything will be fine!

I noticed TFS doesn't go after the completely obvious Saban jokes for the most part, which I appreciate too. Those gags lost their luster awhile ago.

R-E-E-V-E.

... Sorry, that just irks me. Damn you, TFS, spreading lies and misinformation to the public! I demand that you re-release Episode 10 Part 2 and correct it! >:(

They did have Nappa and Vegeta crash directly through the Saban building though. That was hilarious.

To me the second half of the season was just as funny, if not even more so than the first!
Honestly my least favorite joke is the very first one (Farmer: "Oh no! My Marijuana patch!...I mean, carrot patch. Yeah, that's it!" or however it went exactly.). That one always kinda makes me roll my eyes, but it's all uphill from there!

I'd say that it's got to be nearly impossible to not slip on the quantity of jokes during the big fights (episode 10 for example) and I think that might be what puts some people off because they're expecting constant jokes, but that's gotta be tough when half of the content for the source episodes is just fighting. The important thing (for me anyway), is that the quality of the jokes that are there stays high and I think TFS delivers on that front.

Usually I feel like a jerk providing any criticism, but since you're asking for it I'll throw out my opinion. Although I think DBZ Abridged's quality has sunk, I don't think it went downhill until Episode 9. I felt that Episode 9 and Episode 10 Part 3 were mediocre. Decent, but nowhere near as good as previous episodes in the series. Episode 10 Parts 1 and 2 I found to be completely unfunny. Between the two parts I think I chuckled once. Maybe it was just that it's hard to write comedy into a scene with just two characters fighting, maybe it was the type of comedy in the episode, I don't know. All I know is I didn't find it funny. I don't have any problem with Episode 8 or anything before it. Episode 5 is probably my favorite episode in the series, but I don't think Episodes 6-8 stand out quality wise from Episodes 1-4.

Hey guys, I'm doing a podcast that's semi-related to the topic of DBZ Abridged and I was wondering if I could get some help from you guys. Here's the thread for it on the forum:

http://db.schuby.org/daizex/viewtopic.php?t=10815

But what it basically says is that I'm starting an interview podcast about Abridged Series and my first guest is MasakoX (and my second will probably be KaiserNeko) and I was wondering if you could give me some fan questions to ask him! Thanks for all the help!
