I don't remember you being made the boss. So maybe you should lay off giving orders.

I think that it was more like really good advice than something said for the sole purpose of giving you a reason to give a demonstration on what blind teenage-like rebellious behavior looks like. So relax. :D

This whole thread needs relaxing. Erm...uh...VIKADEN FOR ALL!

Okay, I kid, I kid.

To the arguing though to BOTH SIDES: Knock it off issue is done and over with. Digging in to the other side doesn't show your side to be any better, just let it rest. There was way too much venom on both sides of this (ie: You're a pornographer! Oh yeah?! Well you're a dumbass!!) - just let it be.

To the 4:3 and trailer - THANK YOU JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY GOD.

Hey, were anyone able to save the youtube video of the DB season one before it went down? Would be lovely if someone'd put it online.

Was it taken down? Huh. Yeah, I saved it. If no-one else bothers to do so, I'll upload it when I get home later tonight.

Yep, it was. I just clicked your link in the newspost, and got something like "this has been removed by user". Thanks for putting it up online, Mike.

I'm guessing FUNimation doesn't take too kindly to the people doing work for them spoiling their announcement.

I'm kinda at a loss for why and how the mere background music production house got a final copy of the trailer in the first place. It's clear that it wasn't meant to be leaked this early, so why they (they = FUNimation) would have provided it out ahead of time is shocking to me.

This is all assuming that it's in-house at FUNimation that they do the final mixing and video production on the trailer, though. "Welch" or whatever just seems to be involved with the music, as opposed to further video production, so I would assume they'd get that final video FROM FUNimation, instead of giving it TO them...

Not that anything I said above makes much sense. But yeah.

If I had to guess, they asked for the final product for use in a portfolio to sell their work to other interested parties. Generally, companies let those who work on products retain things like this. That EASILY seems to be the reason for that Youtube channel in the first place.

They probably put it up for marketing their services, then realized "Oh, oops this hasn't been announced yet".

That, or it's a marketing ploy! People will want to go watch something that they're not supposed to. They might be hoping that somebody downloaded the video and re-upload it after they take it down.

Or maybe FUNimation isn't that smart. I dunno. It's not like it matters either way. Dragon Ball: Season One.

Oh no, I totally get WHY they would EVENTUALLY get the piece to include in their portfolio... I'm just shocked they were given it so early, especially considering the circumstances of FUNimation's silence and bat-aways with all the other online listings.

Speaking of the trailer and its music, what did everyone think of the background music in the trailer? :P I thought it... wasn't quite fitting, but overall a pretty decent take on generic Chinese/Japanese traditional-style music to fit in with the style of the show. Would have loved an instrumental of "Makafushigi..." in there, instead :?

I really didn't enjoy it. And yes, they could've put a Makafushigi Adventure instrumental. I wonder if the music in the trailer will be the music of the the menus...

Well, between this and the new games, it seems I will be spending quite a few dollars on DB stuff this fall.

Any chance of Funi getting all of these released by the end of 2010? I really don't want to spend he next few years getting Dragon Ball.

My guess would be that they finish up mid 2011, but it all depends on how many seasons they do. But I would guess somewhere around three to four seasons being released a year, but I doubt anymore than season one will come out this year.

Sorry my bad on misunderstanding what you meant. Perhaps its standard for FUNimation to hand it to them immidiatly, again hazarding a guess.

As for the trailer music, GOD yes it was way way wayyyy off.
