OMG YES! Also, high-five for the SBP reference! Punch that fourth wall! Actually, an LK Freeza would probably be better for DBZ Abridged...
This is worse than that time I was in high school! And all the guys called me Geeko, and I was Piccolo's slave, and I couldn't get Chi-Chi to like me... Oh wow, I hit that rock harder than I thought.
You ass, I'M the one who said that between 2nd and 3rd period toward the end of the year.Cheska_Briune wrote:
Actually, for later episodes, we're planning to have a voice that accommodates the more preferred deep Freeza voice. You're not the only one who's wanted to hear that.
Also; you let Fischer be Goku? Son, I am disappoint =/
Who did the translation of the opening song? It kinda feels off.DBZOceanHD wrote:Yes, episode one is back up. It originally went down due to mis-communication, but now it has been quality checked.

This episode was not the easiest to get released. Whether it was between online Drama or writing the script. However, the episode is now down and it would be an episode I would be proud to stand behind of as part of a Comic Gambler Studios work. Thank you to my cast, who got their lines in on time in such a short time frame and to all the fans, who have been patient for us. Feedback on any aspect of production is appreciated so we can improve.
And whose fansub did you base your script during the episode off?
Edit: As for voices. I'd say Bulma, Gohan, and Kuririn are good and got potentional. Mutenroshi, Piccolo and Raditz aren't all that to be honest; feels like they're overacting. The Narrator could be better too.
In overall it's watchable, it could however, have been much worse, but also a bit better. Could I have done any of the voices better myself? No way! Only voice I can do decently is Giru, hehe.
I liked it, but there are flaws
I've just watched this. What did I think?
The music and editing was all pretty much perfect, a few minor things, but you'd really have to be nitpicking to complain about them.
Sound Effects were kinda weak.
As for the voices, they were a bit of a mixed bag in my view.
I kinda liked the narrator voice, nice and calm and natural, which was what it should be. But it should've definitely had more emotion in it at times, the "calmness" was inappropiate in a few instances.
Chi Chi was fine.
I liked Gohan's voice and Goku's voice was fine but kinda flat in places.
Raditz's was heavily based on FUNi's it seems. Personally, I like FUNimation's Raditz, but this at times felt overracted and unconvincing for a serious fandub - it would've worked for a parody sketch, but I don't think it worked here. There were some good moments and I do think the voice can be worked on and improved.
Piccolo's voice was awkward for me. I just don't think it worked, but others would probably strongly disagree. The elements of dub Piccolo I don't like were retained for some odd reason.
Krillin was good.
Bulma was good.
Roshi was fine, but felt very overracted in a few places. I feel if it lost the "forced" feel it'd work pretty well.
Overall though, this is far better than many fandubs. I'd definitely give it a seven or eight out of ten, and I know improvements will be made, so I look forward to the next episode!

In a nutshell: Likes the sub and the dub and barely ever posts.

YouTube comments, I just...wow. Some people are saying FUNi's is one of the best and this dub is emulating it, etc, etc, etc.RoarkVegeta wrote:NOW THAT IS TRUTH. Although I do have to disagree on the "FUNi has one of the best dubs in the world"
