Do you think FUNimation will try to get the second box set out by December? That's when Revenge of King Piccolo comes out in the states, and they could do a package deal like they did with Burst Limit. Either the DVDs come with a trailer for the game, or the game comes with a bonus of the first disc from Season 2.
Seriously. We should all just shut the fuck up and stop worrying about how morally proper or PC people's posts are.Raki wrote:Let's leave the "Jap" discussion for another time. I like having this thread open.
Anyway, back on topic, I just hope Funi won't spread these out for a long time. probably every couple of months, like how they did with the GT sets.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Well, I thought my topic was pretty good. But let's do this one instead.Eddie wrote:Topic time!
I think we may get season 2 by the end of the year. Releasing anything for a popular series during the holiday season is never a bad idea. Regardless, we know when season 1 will arrive. That's enough to make me happy for now.
I bet they'll release all five seasons before 2010 rolls around. That seems to make the most sense.

Your topic was fine. I was reffering to that one from earlier. I'm on a PSP, so it takes a while to post. Your topic wasn't there when I began typing.Innagadadavida wrote:Well, I thought my topic was pretty good. But let's do this one instead.

You expect them to release one in September, October, November, and two in December?Innagadadavida wrote: I bet they'll release all five seasons before 2010 rolls around. That seems to make the most sense.

I figure that well see the final set released in either May or June of '10, based on the GT schedule. Though, if they drag it out a little more like with Z, it could be as late as December '10.Innagadadavida wrote:Well, I thought my topic was pretty good. I can see them doing quarterly releases because it is DragonBall. Which wasn't the hottest of the three in the US.Eddie wrote:If we're really lucky, a bimonthly release may happen.jda95 wrote:Yeah, there's no way that they'll be done by the end of this year. They'll probably release one very three months or so, I'm guessing.

Nope, I was trying to say something crazy to get people worked up over something that's actually on topic.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:You expect them to release one in September, October, November, and two in December?Innagadadavida wrote: I bet they'll release all five seasons before 2010 rolls around. I doubt Funi cares enough about that to mention it in an announcement or a press release.Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote:Any word on title cards and alternate angles yet, by any chance?

Well, FUNimation stopped using them on all releases except the DBZ sets by the beginning of last year, so I'd say our chances are very, very low. We could always hope for properly translated credits though, or at least the opening theme's credits being translated, like in GT.Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote:Any word on title cards and alternate angles yet, by any chance?
GT is underrated and the International Channel will always be my favorite channel for foreign programming. I still miss it.
The opening titles are hit and miss in English if I recall correctly. As for English credits, the extras on the listings say "textless credits" - so we get at least either the opening or the ending creditless. I'm guessing the ending, since the opening (at least in all previous releases) had no credits.kusakun004 wrote:Well, FUNimation stopped using them on all releases except the DBZ sets by the beginning of last year, so I'd say our chances are very, very low.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
