Li'l Lemmy wrote:I've only just gotten into this fanmanga. Great artwork and, more importantly, great concept. If there aren't enough hands to help out with grammar, I'm available on a full-time basis-- it's definitely the sort of thing that I feel like I should give back to in exchange for "new" DragonBall.

I haven't gone through all umpteen-something pages, so if this has been mentioned previously then I apologize. But I think a fight between Vegeta and Piccolo would capitalize on a great match-up that, in my honest opinion, Toriyama-sensei dropped the ball on via its exclusion. Consider:

In the Saiyan arc, Piccolo was dead before Nappa got schooled by Goku and thus lost out on his chance to tackle Vegeta, which we know he would have tried.

Piccolo and Vegeta toss quasi-threats at one another when Piccolo arrives on Namek to battle Freeza, but it's again a no-go.

Piccolo is super-pissed when he witnesses the power of Super Vegeta, angry that he has been surpassed.

Both are great tacticians, and until later in the series they had it out for each other pretty damn bad. So if it's anywhere in the realm of possibility that the tournament pits them (or different universe versions) against one another, I think it would make for something nicely entertaining. :D

Keep up the excellent work.

I don't know if Salagir and GogetaJr would be prowling these forums much, so I suggest sending them an e-mail. Apparently they already have someone doing the English translation but it definitely needs fixing up every now and then (i.e. Videl: "Ho No!" ).

"It's been a long time... since I've snapped someone's neck!!" - FUNimation Bojack

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I can see Pan dying, but only if Gohan doesn't interfere quick enough.
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

I can't see why Salagir would spend time on a useless fight, in which a "90's Rock Band", "Body Building", "Jolly Green Giant", "One Piece Pirate" looking guy just pounds the shit out of a 9 year-old girl. That's be pretty raw, even for Dragonball. But, this is DBM and not DBZ so who am I to judge this series' "Child-Abuse Meter". I like Multiverse, regardless.
Remember Kat?
Remember Videl? Kat wasn't a 9 year old kid was she? She was trying to get Kakarot all hot and horny and so she paid the price for going deeper into his mind than she first intended.
But 14-year-old Bulma did, and this is 14-year-old Pan, not 9-year-old. Added to that, we've seen 4-year-old Gohan get tortured in the original manga, so a teenager getting choked and punched isn't that unlikely. Besides, for all we know she'll quickly lose consciousness from the choking. If that's the case, he'd be the winner, which would mean before the first swing comes, Gohan and Vegetto will be allowed to intervene since the fight is over.

Vegetto, both by influence of Goku and Vegeta, would not let a chance to fight powerful opponents go, no matter who suffered.
Goku can prioritize, and post-Majin Vegeta can too. Though I see them both leading to him letting a certain extent go by before intervening for the reason you mentioned.

Dude, what the fuck. Pan is dead. Her throat was just crushed. So this fight ended up being a "Child Beating" session, just like I feared. That's some really messed up stuff, man. :(

Yeah thanks for the link, man.

I find the fact that they used her dead body's pointy head as an "A" in "crAck" more distasteful than killing a 9-year old.

Well, I'm ready to see a cool fight. Let's see something the length of Cell vs. Dabura, only with Vegetto in it. Only this time, DNA better not fucking ruin it, I swear to god. This would have been a genuine shock if DNA hadn't flown of the handle because people were debating, like they always do.

I would celebrate but does anyone know that she is actually dead or is Kaiôshin going to step up and give her his life and then she turns Super Saiyan 10? I am not trying to start an argument I sincerely want to know is that it for this fight?

The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Did you not see "Pan is dead, Bojack wins" on the bottom right-hand corner? Don't be ridiculous.

You're acting really immature right now.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Yeah but in Dragonball there was moments when we thought characters was long gone until Toriyama came up with some silly excuse to bring them back…to me there is no such thing as a eternally dead member of the Son family.

Well yeah, since they said at the beginning that anyone who dies will be revived at the end of the tournament.

Which would be another reason Vegetto wouldn't intervene.

That is way too gruesome. I don't care if it would've disqualified them, but Pan's parents should've intervened.

I'm going to continue reading the comic, but I really do think that Bojack killing a child was in bad taste.

If they knew how powerful Bojack was by comparison, they shouldn't have let her fight him in the first place. >_>

I honestly didn't expect her to die. I'm just hoping it only looks that way to the announcers (didn't Gohan get his neck snapped during the Freeza arc and Goku gave him a senzu when he arrived? Gohan didn't die then.) and they can do something.
On hiatus.

1. She'll be brought back to life later. That's one of the benefits of the tournament.

2. As you said, what about Gohan VS. Recoome? Recoome broke his neck with a kick, we saw it happen. This was very brutal, yes, but not nearly as brutal as what happened to Videl. This was quicker and probably less painful, though a bit more shocking visually.

She'll be healed later on. She's most probably done for this tournament and honestly, it's no big deal that she died. People die in DragonBall and, as usual, she'll be back.

Honestly, though... broke her neck right off the bat? I was hoping for at least SOMETHING more, like a futile struggle on Pan's part, proving herself to be a decent fighter even though she's entirely outmatched, and then lose in the end. This was just kind of... anti-climactic.

Eh. As much as I dislike the string of quickly resolved fights, Bojack was shown to be well beyond what Super Saiyans could match. Pan did slightly better than Trunks, Vegeta and Gohan did (aside from the whole 'got killed' business), which is all that could be hoped for.

But then, this is the comic that has Broly able to fight Super Vegetto, so Pan at base should've killed Bojack then blown up his whole universe.

And then candy falls from the sky and Super George W. Bush wins the tournament.

To be fair, I can't imagine that Broly never got stronger. This is a Broly that has seemingly gone on to destroy his entire universe, why wouldn't he be far more powerful by now?

I thought he was the Broly who was still frozen in the iceberg from Movie 10?
