I just hope they redo their 5.1 surround sound mix. The earlier sets mix was awful as the sound effects drowned out the music and the voices. I hope they either remix it, or make it in stereo...
Also I just thought of something... What if they actually include the original FUNimation '99 dub in it's unaltered "glory" instead of the "re-dub" with Faulconer's music?

Man, this fall is going to be expensive...
Lets See
The Complete Beatles Catalog in Stereo and Mono - $450 USD
The Beatles Rock Band - $60 USD
Dragon Ball Season 1 - $35 USD
Dragon Box Z Volume 1 - $60 USD (My assumed Amazon Price) $80 USD Retail.
All the numerous PS3/Xbox 360 Games coming in the fall - About $300
Shit, I'm going to be poor for the holidays!
This is only in three months...oi...
Since the video won't be messed with, Progressive Video is a definite for this set. This will appease those who watch DVD's on Laptops Computers, lower end DVD players hooked to an HDTV.

I hear 'ya! I'm actually looking at what I can sacrifice so that I'm not broke. For example, I'm not going to get the Kai Blu-Rays anymore. There's some comics I'm not getting. There's some games I'm skipping out on... Yeah, this is an important release!Krycek7o2 wrote:Man, this fall is going to be expensive...

I will personally bitch slap anybody that complains about this. Also, I won't be watching the broadcast version. Didn't care for it when I saw it on TV.Kendamu wrote:This version could be absolutely perfect and someone here will still have a problem with some weird obscure little thing. I don't particularly care if the broadcast music is on there because I won't be watching the broadcast version. At all.Raki wrote:To be fair, it should have all audio options. I wouldn't want anyone to be dismissed about this version.Metalwario64 wrote:Hmm... I wonder if the dub will have the Japanese music, or the broadcast audio... or both?
Yeah. I'm kinda nerdy like that.
If the broadcast version is on there, then whatever. That's nice for everyone who wants it.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
Being as I was going to buy them, yes.SSJToreto wrote:Okay so this basically destroys any DB KAI related release.

From the look of things, they haven't. I'm willing to give hope that they will do this release right. I got no reason not to.Rod wrote:Let's just hope they don't fuck it up

I purchases all 9 sets and don't feel bad at all. We put money back into the franchise so Funi could afford to do this. I'll be buying all 7 sets no questions asked.Gozar wrote:Wow, I don't feel screwed over at alllll. Ya know, after buying 9 sets of "The way it was meant to be scene". I knew it, I fucking knew it. I just knew that after the Season Sets came out, all of us people who bought it would get screwed over some how. -_-
You know what? Being as they are a hard sell right now, I'm gonna throw my singles in with my season set auctions.Castor Troy wrote:Anyone planning on selling their R2 singles now?
I might actually sell them off for really cheap so I can get the first set.

As well as we AMV-makers. Good to know, I was having a hard time figuring out the nature of the DBox's footage.Krycek7o2 wrote:Since the video won't be messed with, Progressive Video is a definite for this set.
