English Dragon Box Release

To be perfectly honest, I REALLY want to run out and sell my Bricks. I know a place that'll pay me decent money for them. Problem is that I really wish we had more info on these.

What we know about the audio/visual:

*Unaltered Dragonbox footage
*Japanese Audio Track
*English Audio Track
*English Subtitles

What I want to know:

*Will it be English dialogue over Japanese music?
*Will it be in 2.0 or 5.1 surround?

I can live with 2.0 sound as long as it doesn't sound like crap, like the Japanese audio on the Orange Bricks. But if the English audio has the English dub music... I'm sticking with the bricks. I know we can't have everything, but the English Dialogue over the Japanese Soundtrack was THE selling point for me and the Bricks. I over looked every other issue because of this one thing. So... as strange as it may sound, this is an issue that is very important to me personally. I've really grown to love the current English voice cast over the years, but I hate the dub music, and LOVE the Japanese soundtrack... I'm a hardcore fan Funi! Show me love!

I was scared because the DBox in Japan had 2.0 sound, and still only fit 6 episodes on a DVD. Yet you're telling me that somehow Funi has accomplish Two audio tracks, 5.1 surround, and 7 episodes per disk without compromising the quality of the video!?

That's f'ing amazing if it's true. I'm not doubting you, it's just... well it's a happiness overload, and my mind won't accept all the happy it's trying to output!

Well, the Japanese track won't be 5.1. That would be impossible. However the English track has confirmed to be 5.1. That's what I was taking about.

That's the movies, and there hasn't been any word for a limited edition release with a special gift...

It'd be cool to get pieces of the Goku and Piccolo toys with each Set, that'd be awesome, like have complete Goku with Set 1, then torn shirt torso, then Super Saiyan head for set 3, and so on this this fashion.

This is really hard for me, I've been waiting for a decent release of Dragonball for a while. Funi finally delivers, and then they throw out the Dragonbox! Now, I really want to get Dragonball... but I'm not wasting my money if they release a DB Dragonbox set!

but I really love Dragonball...

GT's release was alright...buuuuut you're right, we do need a Dragon Box of DB/GT too.

I really can't stand interlacing.

Don't forget it's pretty much guaranteed that we'll get no alternate angles for Japanese title cards.

What I think will happen next

Dragonball Season Set and Dragonball Z English Dragon Box (Movies and Specials) will be released during the same time period.

Dragoball Movies and Special to be released after that period.

Dragonball GT English Dragon Box (Special) will then be released.

Dragonball English Dragon Box will then be released (with movies and Special)

All released before 2020

What about the Z-Movies? FUNi have said they're doing a Dragon Box of that next.

I'm going to hold off on the Dragonbox sets, but I do want them yes! But I'm a poor college student who also spends her money doing karate and amateur boxing and not to mention bills. I think I can afford the first Dragonball season set. It sucks having to choose one great thing over another even greater thing.

I have the nine widescreen DBZ sets, which will suffice for now. I hope to foresee myself getting the first Dragonbox later this year. Hopefully I can save up the money. I may sell my season sets eventually, but I haven't decided. Though could you get $200 for all nine on Ebay

That's the reason I hope to dear god they get Dragon Ball Kai.

Seriously, that would give them a clean slate. Then Take the FUNimation we have NOW, with the Voice acting Pool they have to draw from now and the talent they have now.

I also hope on the English option that they leave in the insert songs. Heck throw in Faulconer's score just for an option. Then this release will be gold! I hope that they'll release special features as well and maybe PTETS. Maybe they'll also do this with DB and DBGT. God this is awesome news!

Hmm...since Wal-Mart tends to take 40% off for DBZ releases and Best Buy takes 30% off, these should be $50 and $55 at those two places, respectively. As soon as my mom gives me the $20 she owes me, I'll have more than enough money for this.
