Maybe I'm just crazy or something, or maybe it the collector in me, but I can not bring myself to want to sell ANY of Dragonball stuff. Even though I did drop a couple hundred bucks over the past few years to get all of DB/Z/GT on DVD, in both season set form, and the DB double disc sets, I will totally buy this Dragonbox, and whatever other DVD's Funi plans on putting out. I'll buy the DB season sets, and if they put out the DB Dragonboxes, I will buy that two.

I guess you could call me a stooge or mark or something, but I don't care.

After all, Money is just paper, and you can always get more paper.

Just another Dragon Ball fangirl in the world.

DB & Tiger and Bunny are my main fandoms, along with many other animes.

Considering the economic climate right now, it's getting a bit harder to get paper for a lot of people. Paper is running short.

It also doesn't help that people don't seem to accept 8 1/2 x 11 sheets out of my printer for goods, services, and the payment of debts.

I'm sure I will get these at some point, maybe after the price drops to be in line with the orange bricks. Until then, I'll just stick with the series in a language I can actually understand.

I still won't like lack of Faulconer, but my favorite Japanese themes were during the Android and Cell sagas, so I guess I can manage...I think...

I'm feeling such a huge range of emotions right now I can't even find the words to describe them.

So I'm going to draw a picture. I'll post it here when I'm done.

What if the dub audio is english music only? Will you "manage" to see the first two seasons with Nathan Johnson's score? :P

Now all we need is for Funi to release an HQ photo of the Box so that Tanooki can add his "Honest advertising" to it

Well, I do like the Japanese score, but I LOATHE Nathan Johnson's score. I actually wasn't going to buy Season One at first because I was pretty much done collecting DBZ stuff and was more into collecting wrestling DVD's, but when my friend told me about the dub having the Japanese score, I decided to buy it.

So I've just got a couple of questions for the informed masses here:

Are we sure that this is the Dragon Box? If mentions of the inclusion of dub audio are being slated as part of the release, then it makes me wonder if the original Japanese footage might be getting tampered with as well somehow.

Also, video footage aside, are there any details about what dub track is being packaged with the lot? Are we doing dub + Japanese score or dub + dub score? What about both?

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this. :)

Money is not paper. It's cotton.

Also, eighty fucking dollars a box?! Fuck no, I'm not paying that much for the shit-sucking anime.

I'll buy the Bricks from y'all, guys!

Oh dear! Oh lord!

I am absolutely stunned by this news! I have to sell my faux-pseudo-bullshit "remastered" sets before I feel like I wasted all my money! I've just got to raise the money to buy these Dragon Box sets! It's like, ALL of DBZ! Not 80% cut off! UHHNNNN! MY GROIN! UHNNN!!!

FUNi have said they "are not changing a damn thing".

And we don't know which music is going with the English dub yet.

If they're cramming 42 episodes onto 6 discs, that means that there will be 7 episodes on each disc like the Orange Brick sets. Sorry guys, the quality will not be EXACTLY the same as the JP Dragon Boxes. :(

Ha, it's just a quote from a friend of mine which I always find funny.

But in all honesty, for those of us that live at home still, which my guess is a good number of us, I can't see this being such a huge money problem. I don't even have that great of a job, but I am sure I can save up enough money to get all this new Dragonball swag coming down the line the next few months.

Wrong. Compression has changed a lot since 2003, you can get the same quality now with lower bitrates.

Funi did that with Season 9 and still had a GB of space left. Season 9's picture quality was comparable to the Dragon Box.
