Other than that one spine of the manga I haven't seen Korin as other colors. But in the grayscale manga, it does appear that he's a different color than white. I just don't know what it is. Anyways, he's not the first character from any comic/cartoon where their hair differs in color in whichever medium. For example, Gen. Hawk had black hair in the G.I. Joe cartoon, but he had blonde hair in the comics.

You really can't trust the manga for colouring, it's just way too inconsistant. In the first chapter Bulma has blue hair, but then from chapter 4 and on it's purple. Kinto'un is originally yellow in chapter 4, but then also appears purple several times (the chase through Penguin Village comes to mind). There's also the problem that chapters are rarely fully coloured, and often are drawn in some sort of red-scale. So I say that Karin is white, and that's what I'm sticking with (besides, he looks a lot cooler when he's white, as opposed to blue...)

Certainly... Actually, it looks kind of brown in these screen caps, but when you watch it on TV it really looks bright red.

The old Famicom games tend to follow the manga colors, actually. Like Karin is blue, and Buruma's hair is purple. So that's another place to see the blue Karin, for anyone interested.
