I'd be pissed if Funi decided to pull a Toei on us.

EDIT: This thread is now in 1080p 8)
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I doubt they would. I don't think they'll produce near as many units as they did with the Bricks, but I don't think they'll be in short supply or anything. There's likely going to be plenty to go around for all of us.

Not too long from now, people are gonna start having Dragon Boxes like it's no big deal to have them. Doesn't that give you a weird feeling? Pretty much all of us will have ample opportunity to watch DBZ in the best quality possible. I never really expected this day to come.

QFT. Before, it just seemed like only a select few people were getting the opportunity to own the Dboxes and see the picture. Now everyone can. I used be so jealous when people here would constantly bring up their Dragon Boxes or when I'd see a screencap.

WHAT?! Dragon Boxes being released in AMERICA?! I bought 5 o' those damn saga box sets released in 2003 off of eBay recently, and now THIS?! Damn you, FUNimation. <.< Well, at least I didn't get more Season Sets after buying the first 2 back in '07. I still must say... this is a dream come true. But why so soon? The Season Set owners must be pissed, and I know I am. Ah well, gonna try to sell these to someone who doesn't know... just to be a greedy asshole. :P

Seems that FUNimation is banking on the idea that most Season Set owners have no clue what a Dragon Box is or why it's so special and that only certain very dedicated fans will actually care.

Well, if we can afford to burn our money on all of the Season sets, it's not that big of a deal to burn our money on the show a second time. I'm a little miffed, of course, because I could've used the money to buy other stuff, but I'll get over it.

Well too bad for FUNi cause I didn't spend one $ on their trashy Season sets.

Okay..

I'm going to give a little bit of a backstory before I go into my feelings about this announcement, I am currently on a two week holiday interstate, I haven't even gone near the internet in over a week, and besides seeing the odd piece of Dragonball merch while out and about, I haven't really even thought about it.

But this morning, when I felt inclined to just have a little peek and whats going down on Daizex, FUNimation are releasing the fucking Dragonboxes!?, I have spent the last year or so hunting down every last single release trying to avoiding picking up FUNimation's orange bricks, it took a lot of time, and a hell of a lot of shelf space, but I don't care, I'm ready to pre-order this as soon as there is a listing on Amazon.

DO WANT.

Ugh. I hate using a PS3 for the Internet. Anyway, yeah it sucks that some Season Set owners don't know what a Dragon Box is. And I guess some of the theories here that say profits made from the Season Sets provided the money for the Dragon Boxes could probably be true. Then again, like jjgp112 said... it'll be possible to recover from that in time. I'll still probably buy some more of the Saga box sets, but the Dragon Boxes will definitely be a given. I'll just wait it out, I guess. $160 down the drain... another $560 to go... EDIT: Ho-ly. Shit. Them extras be like extras used for movies.

Hmm...Funi never actually confirmed that there would be a 7th disc for extras...but I guess we'll find out more in due time.

I'm sure one of the sets will have extras.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
