Dragonball Season 1 Discussion

Even though there's now a possibility now of Dragon Box footage for DB, I am probably still going to get this. We all waited a decade for the first 13 episodes, and now we're getting them.

If they do release the DB Dragon Box, then I'll just get rid of this Season Set for money I may not have at the time it comes out. I'm a recently converted hardcore fan, but I still have respect for my Funimation dub roots. Besides, we have waited too long for these to come out to pass it up.

Actually it is possible and probably might be "oh look we waited to show you this since now we do Dragon Box sorta thing" on the 15th of September.

Though I think it's better shelling out 1,300 for Dragon ball to 3,000 for DBZ.
And Dragon Ball I can stand being raw.

I am definitely picking it. And if they release a Dragonbox version, I'll buy that too. I am such a goon for Funi.

I had decided I was likely going to get it about a week before the Dragon Box announcement, but now with money rather short and the Dragon Box placed at a higher priority for me - and with a potential Dragon Box release of this anyway in the future - I'm holding off for now.

I was iffy about them before the Dragon Box news, now I feel barely even aware they exist until this thread pops back up. I just don't care about these season sets anymore.

Honestly I think it will be years before a Dragonball Dragon Box gets released in America. They will probably see how well the DBZ one sells first, and then see how well the DB season sets sell, and then make a decision. I am talking like a three year time frame. But of course, I could be wrong.

If we get some kind of word from FUNimation regarding the release timetable for the Dragon Boxes, we might be able to have a better idea then. Hopefully we get something on that soon.

I think I stated this before, but I'm going to buy the first boxset but not the others. I should be able to get the Piccolo Jr Part 2 set for dirt cheap after the season sets start dropping.

I don't see them having it. With that stuff out, they have a whole new selling point.
