That's the day before my birthday... YAY! FREE DRAGONBOX FOR ME!
English Dragon Box Release
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Damn, that dates me a little. My birthday is also in early November, but I'm at the age where I no longer get stuff because of it. I'll take a free dinner, though. I'm definitely not the oldest here, but you guys are the ages of my students. Good to see that the show has that kind of generational power.jjgp1112 wrote:And your birthday is the day before mineSn4tcH wrote:11-10-09???
That's the day before my birthday... YAY! FREE DRAGONBOX FOR ME!. Were you born in 1992? That would make you a day older than me
This will be a present from myself for myself. Works.

This is probably the last year that I can expect to get stuff for no reason.Presc503 wrote:Damn, that dates me a little. The show definitely has generational power. What other show can be someone's favorite show at both 6 and 18? It has come full circle for me; I started with the edited tv dub and now I get the Dragon Box. This makes me want to sing the Lion Kng Soundtrack.

My parents and aunts just send me money and I buy my own stuff. On my 11th birthday back in 03, I got a total of $110.Presc503 wrote:Damn, that dates me a little. My dad's birthday was the 21st and my bestfriend's b-day (who I introduced to Dragon Ball) is the 26th. Clearly November is the month of the Dragon Ball fan.

I want to clarify for those forum members who are making wild guesses that just because Funimation plans to release Dboxes doesn't and must probably does not mean that they will come with any extras at all that is not what will appear in the booklets. From what I understand and what common sense is dictates that Funimation simply got new film masters straight from Toei's remastered stuff, of which they have must probably just announced DBZ for the time being, and not about all the other extras that literary does not pertain at all to the North American market. It's not that I want to crush other people's hopes but I feel as this point have been overlook by the people making such statements. And, besides don't feel too bad, the majority of Japanese also only own the single releases with the footage that we're getting domestically(about DAMN time, too). Now let's get back to speculating about this Funiboxes as MagicBox calling them.

I believe it'll look just fine. I watch my dvd's on a 32" HDTV with a PS3 upconverting HDMI cable and at 720p it looks vibrant no matter what anime I watch. Hell, even the Funi season box sets look good.Vegeta1984 wrote:How will the DragonBoxes look on an 32" HD?? I'm thinking about getting an 32" In January... I just want to make shure it will look good or I'm not gonna bother with getting an HD
If you set your TV's aspect ratio to 4:3, they should look fine. My 32" is always in 4:3, sans whenever I put in a movie.Vegeta1984 wrote:How will the DragonBoxes look on an 32" HD??
