I think that's a good thing. Wouldn't you rather read through 2 pages than 15?

Well the power level of American Dragon Box was over 9,000 when first accounced. Now it's just a mere 1.

Is that little blurb in front of Goku what the box actually says? I've been wondering for the past few days what that little bit of text says ever since seeing the pictures of the American DBox.

This may have been already alluded to so I apologise if it has, but the press release does have me slightly concerned, in that:
The Dragon Box will be produced from the original Dragon Box masters after a frame by frame restoration and will span the entire 291 episode television series

almost suggests that FUNimation will also be doing its own in-house tinkering with the masters. I know their representative has claimed otherwise, but this press release appears to contract this.

Can you just maybe post that as a URL so it doesn't stretch out the page? Thanks!

Nice work, though!

So if you pre-order from rightstuf early does that pretty much guarantee you will get it a week or so before the street date?

Anyone who knows from experience (like for the season sets) that can comment?
Goku: "Look Vegeta! People popcorn!"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"

Things have been known to ship out a month earlier with Right Stuf.

I agree 100 percent. It should be left on the season sets never to be heard from again.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Yo, guys!

There's been some chatter in here and in the Extras thread about how there may not be enough room on the DVDs to put the episodes and an extra audio track without losing some quality. When the first Season Set was announced and we knew the specifics, originally it was going to be 39 episodes on 5 discs. Some people e-mailed FUNimation about it and it was changed to 6 discs.

On the same note, 6 discs may not be enough for 42 episodes without losing some quality. So, how about we e-mail FUNimation and ask for 7 discs per set? That'll leave it at 6 episodes per disc, just like the Dragon Boxes in Japan!

feedback@funimation.com

Remember, be nice about it. We're offering a suggestion to make a great product even better, not bitching about widescreen and missing lines. Also, request a receipt so you know they read it. Even if they're under some kind of orders not to reply to certain questions, most companies will at least let you know that they read your email if you request a receipt.

Seven episodes per disc really is fine, though. Other anime releases, and even other releases in general use seven, sometimes more, and quality doesn't drop. Compression really has gotten better. Besides, they've already started on the packaging. I doubt it's something they can change without a significant delay.

If everybody's going to e-mail, though, ask (KINDLY) about extras as well.

I kindly suggested that they add a seventh disc to each set.

I also may have also suggested they add the US Broadcast audio. Please don't kill me. : )
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

What would the US broadcast audio be exactly, just the Funi dub with its musical score? Has it actually been confirmed that they're not including it?
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

Hey, as long as they have room for it without compromising on the quality, I don't care. The version I want to see is the default option.
