All of the original Sailor Sensh+Tuxedo Kamen+Chibi Usa kept their english dub names, but the Outer Senshi kept their japanese names, and it was pretty much close to uncut. But it was also flipped >_>

Tokyopop is gonna be re-releasing some of their older manga into their "100% Authentic Manga" line next year, sadly Sailor Moon isnt one of them :(

I like that Viz re-released tons of their older manga like Tenchi, but not all of them were unflipped though :(

The manga was released here before they got around to dubbing Sailor Moon S. But even though I never read it, you have to give them props for releasing "Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars" here. Especially since it looks like the anime of that will never see the light of day on this side of the Pacific. One thing that confused the hell out of me is that they changed Sailor Moon's name to Bunny. What's up with that? I could understand if they had it as Usagi, or at least Serena. But Bunny? Where the hell did that come from?

Doesn't Usagi mean Bunny? In the Dutch dub of the anime, based on the German dub, she's also called Bunny. [All the other characters have their Japanese name though ~_~;]

Yes, "usagi" means "rabbit" in Japanese.

Well, it's not like Viz doesn't have their fair share of errors. One being the misprinted spine on DB vol. 16. Also in One Piece vol. 2, there was a repeated page and a page that was cutoff.

A plus though, when Viz notices these problems they allow anybody with the errors to send in for a corrected copy. Not sure if Tokyopop does this because if they did, I would send in a good number of my Love Hina volumes.

Another plus that Viz has is the translated sound effects. Personally I like to see what they are rather than not knowing or having to look in the back to know what the effect is.

I can't wait to see Dr. Slump; from what I have read of it, it's pretty funny.
I just hope they keep it in right-to-left style like they do with db/dbz, Toriyama's artwork looks odd when its flipped, its a lot easier to tell something's been done to it than with other actual flipped titles.

From what I've just read on Anime News Network, Doc Slump will have the T rating so it should be uncut.

No need to feel ecstatic. Seriously, I think Dr Slump in the worst of the Toriyama mangas. We got in Poland uncensored and with perfect translation, and it's still crap. Toriyama himself criticises his work in first volume of DB, making Shuu & Mai parody running gags from Dr SLump.

I don't think that's any sort of criticism, at all, but rather a little reference to his previous work made in good fun. And then there's the whole cross-over thing...

And honestly, I thought Dr. Slump was hilarious. A bit needlessly crude at times, but it was the first parody type of manga I ever read, and I still think it's pretty damn funny.

And, if I may ask, how exactly do you know they're perfect translations?

Ahh, I wasn't as lucky with my One Piece vol. 2. I found out I could have sent in for a fixed one a few months after the cut off date. I'm not sure if I want to send in for a corrected one now because Viz is going back and reprinting the first four volumes replacing "Zoro" with "Zolo".

I have to agree that Viz has done an AWESOME job with the RuroKen manga. Especially Kenshin's speech mannerisms. "This one", instead of "I", reflects Kenshin's Hyper-polite speak quite well.

What I'm really interested in, though, is HunterxHunter. AKA: Togashi's masterpiece. I cannot really stress how much better that is than every single one of Togashi's works put together.

I like how they left in the honorifics in Kenshin as well. They even put a glossary in the back for any unfamiliar terms

Yes, Kenshin is awesome, but the amount of typos and grammatical errors that have started to become more frequent since it became monthly have started to get slightly on my nerves.
