English Dragon Box Release

I really feel no pain for the people who caved and bought the bricks. At one point I owned every single $19.99, three-episodes only single DVD release of Z that FUNimation had released, including the censored, dub only DVDs with the Ocean voice cast.

Now we can all die happy Dragon Ball fans. The price tag on these really doesn't bother me. It'll probably be available for about $60 at online stores, but even paying $80 per box gets you the Dragon Box for 1/4th the original price.

Exactly. FUNi's just looking out for our best interests. As fans, we love to whine about things. If we had the extras, there wouldn't be much to whine about.

I wouldn't mind seeing atleast a few Japanese extras, their Dragon Box is full of a lot of goodies. I really like that they put in the whole American censorship in their DB Box as an extra. LOL.

Like Funimation said, they've only just got it, and there could still be extras, in fact, they could leave the last box set with less episodes and put the two Extra's discs from the two Japanese Dragon Boxes in it, that would be awesome. But it'd mean we'd have to wait to get DBox quality Bardock/Trunks/Playdia etc.

Umm...3 Discs, man.

But, yeah. I am hoping for a reproduction of the Japanese extras. But, if FUNi doesn't, oh well. We are still getting the best video and audio experience for DBZ.

As soon as I disappear for a minute and return, I learn that evil Funimation is releasing the Dragonbox. I hope everyone is happy now.

Now a question since I am late to the conversation can someone tell me how much the box is running price wise, and whether the dub BGM will be done away with?

It's gonna be about $80 MSRP for the first 42 episodes, and we don't know if the dub music is included or not.

Thanks, but would it be wise on Funimation’s part to do away with the dub music, if they do this will lead to a new crop of whiners on the other end of the spectrum.

Well, put it this way; if FUNi decided to use the dub music, there will be whining from the fans of the Japanese music. If they use the Japanese, whining from the dub music fans. FUNi can't win. We can't win.

Yeah, but it will be still trial for me to get it to Czech Republic....

True but we haven't even seen the out come so tell then I'm happy with what they're putting out.
