Holy crap, Funi pretty much based their trailer off of this one. It has the same exact edits and clips, and they even come in the same order, and just takes out a few other clips to fit it into one minute.
So basically, Funi's trailer was a compressed version of the Japanese singles trailer, except they added "IT'S OVER 9000!!!!" to it.
I have a feeling that all of the Frieza saga stuff at the end will be the trailer for the Vol. 3 set.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!

Holy crap! Between the big chunks of Japanese text in the Japanese ad, the insanely annoying Vegeta voice-over in the US one, and the fact that they are edited for time...I didn't even notice!

I mean, I know they added all of the text and voice-overs, but the clips used were the same as the ones in the Japanese commercial.

Well, there is only so much Dragonball footage to be used. Besides, the clips that both trailers used are, incidentally, the most visually appealing clips from the episodes contained in the Funibox.

I really hope the Funimation trailer is a case of "what you see is what you get" as quality is damn perfect.
Goku: "Look Vegeta! People popcorn!"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"

The only time the footage ever looked different from how it was in the trailer was in the DBZ Season 6 trailer. The colors were darker and had a bluish tint, while in the actual set, they were a lot more balanced. That's it, though.

I kind of wish you could buy/pre-order all seven Dragon Box parts right now online or something, like Time Life's Real Ghostbusters Firehouse set and Shout Factory's Transformers Matrix or Leadership set, while still offering individual volumes released into retailers every few months.

Billy Mays? Aww, too soon guys. Too soon. =P
From the looks of Mike's Twitter, it looks like he's really working hard on the podcast episode for next week that will likely revolve around the Dragon Box - gathering several guests, writing an article, even trying to get someone from FUNimation? Sounds like it'll be a kickass podcast episode to accompany the announcement, so I definitely can't wait for that.

He's already got someone from FUNimation. I'm not sure if it's Lady Twitter or one of the Super FUNi Bros. trio of Adam, Lance, or Rojas.
God, I'm making up nicknames for them now!

That would be pretty awesome, and they could include some sort of extra gift if you pre-ordered all the parts in one go, I for one would get it if it came with some initiative.

That'd be pretty cool. Gives Funimation that much more of an excuse to actually carry out with releasing all the releases.
(following up with EX's twitter) Woah, FUNi rep on the podcast? Well, it looks like things aren't set in stone yet, but it sure looks like a possibility

I just thought of something. I wonder if that rock version of "Cha La Head Cha La" in the trailer will be used as the opening for the English version. It may not be but I'm just pointing out the possibility.
Aka gtadbzman.

It's not exactly Head Cha-La, but it puts off that vibe. It almost sounds like the exact music from the Dragon Ball Season 1 trailer that leaked a little while back.

For the third time: same guy. I've been talking with him over YT about how well received the music seems to be, and he's glad as he thought it was too cheesy. Contact the man yourself with an comments or suggestions.

Well, I figured that it was the same guy. What I'm saying is that it sounds like the
same song.
By the way, what's his YouTube account? I'll hit him up after subscribing to him.
