Actually the case for both of them was bad writing IN ADDITION TO bad acting.Kuhan wrote:I disagree. Chatwin's Goku was mostly the fault of writing. Christensen's Anakin was poor acting.

No, I'm saying Chatwin did pretty well with what he was given. Christensen... did not.Taku128 wrote:...Are you seriously saying the writing in Episodes I, II and III wasn't horrible?Kuhan wrote:I disagree. Chatwin's Goku was mostly the fault of writing. Christensen's Anakin was poor acting.

Relax, buddy. I still think the writing is still that good in Prequels than Classic. But that's just my opinion. I like that at this link:
http://www.buy.com/prod/dragonball-evol ... 63299.html
It suggests "you may also like" Street Fighter: Chun-Li and Mortal Kombat 2 films lol
I cant really find any information on this Z Edition, supposedly coming out in the next few days o_0

I was sent this press release. If anyone here is attending comic-con, follow these people on twitter and you may win the Dragonball: Evolution DVD, and some other stuff.
Hi Guys,
We are doing a huge Dragonball promotion at Comic-con this year giving away VIP party passes to the Wrath of Con, Comi-con and Dragonball collectibles and DBE DVD’s. We could use your help to get the word out and we’d love it if one of your fans were the winners. We’ll throw in an additional dollars if the winner comes from your group of followers.
All you have to do is follow http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 over the next couple of days to win. The details are below, along with the press release.
The Dragonball Evolution Sweepstakes:
The epicenter of the program revolves around a scavenger hunt that Giant Release created for the release of FOX Home Entertainment's Dragonball Evolution DVD. The scavenger hunt held on July 24th at the 2009 Comic-Con San Diego convention center was the ideal location to reach Dragonball's fan base. Followers of http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 receive a tweet every 15 minutes over a three hour timeframe offering a clue to where seven "Dragonballs" were hidden inside the convention center. When each "Dragonball" is found, the winner receives the ultimate Dragonball Evolution DVD prize package which includes exclusive Comic-Con collector items, a Dragonball Evolution DVD and a VIP pass to the Wrath of Con party event at the Hard Rock Hotel. Dragonball Evolution was given the opportunity to showcase the DVD on plasma screens and main stage area throughout Wrath of Con to leading online entertainment and comics editors, celebrities and lucky fans.

False, the Phantom Menace was the worst, but AotC wasn't too far off.

I don't see how someone who hates the dub for having bad dialogue could like a movie that has lines like "I hate... sand... it is so rough... unlike your skin which is so smooth..."NeptuneKai wrote:JUZT UR OPINION MAAAAAAN!Taku128 wrote:...Seriously? Japanese Dragonball isn't exactly Shakespeare either my friend. I think everything that comes out of Jar Jar Bink's mouth is more comparable to dub dialogue and I don't like him at all (who does?)Taku128 wrote:I don't see how someone who hates the dub for having bad dialogue could like a movie that has lines like "I hate... sand... it is so rough... unlike your skin which is so smooth..."NeptuneKai wrote:JUZT UR OPINION MAAAAAAN!Taku128 wrote:...Seriously? I couldn't stand any of the prequels however, and it isn't a nostalgia thing as I haven't really watched the Star Wars films until several years ago.
Now, about that DBE DVD...

Phantom Menace has Liam Neeson in one of the only well acted roles in the prequels, and an amazingly choreographed lightsaber fight at the end, way better then any of the other prequel lightsaber battles. It also had Darth Maul, the coolest villain in the prequel trilogy. (No doubt in part because he never fucking talks.) Revenge of the Sith had a decent fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin at the end, Anakin getting all of his limbs sliced off, and that awesome scene at the end of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader on the Imperial Ship looking out at the Death Star.Metalwario64 wrote:How could you like Episode I more than II? What did Episode II have that makes it stand out?
Also, overall all three prequels are shitty movies, but Episodes I and III atleast have a few scenes that are actually good. Episode II is pure shit throughout the entire movie.
EDIT: But back to Evolution. I enjoyed Evolution when I saw it in theaters, but I'm not sure it'd hold up on a second viewing. I'll probably rent it on Blu-Ray once EX has done his commentary and see if I still like the movie enough to purchase it.
