Burst Limit. It is far better than Inf. World in every aspect- gameplay, graphics plus it has online multiplayer.

Burst Limit is unceasingly superior to Infinite World, man...

And it just looks so damn pretty...

Infinite World wins hands down for me.

Burst Limit was a step back in the gameplay IMO considering it went with the whole "light and heavy" style of fighting, not to mention cutting the combo depth in half. The speed and movement of the characters were pretty sluggish too. Those drama scenes were also terrible and made the story mode annoying to playthrough, it really felt like a chore for the sake of completing it than doing it for fun. The only one good thing that came out of this game were the graphics and its eye candy, everything else was just an epic failure and a major disappointment. Hell, a lot of Budokai junkies who don't care for the fan service and just want to enjoy the gameplay keep saying it's an awful downgrade, it's that bad.

Infinite World on the other hand returns to the classic Budokai style once again and manages to add the positive elements of the SB style. I also enjoyed the fact that the combo list and cancel opportunities of the much superior fighting style works well with the new upgrade on being able to use death moves and specials during the middle of any combo and not just limited to specific strings and combinations.

Based on fan service and content, BL clearly also fails in that department with the "ditching everything past Cell and the movies" issue which was very disappointing.

I'd say Burst Limit wins by quite a stretch, the graphics, the gameplay (which did just fine without capsules), the music, and online were great.
I really don't care for a character roster of 30+, because I won't be playing as most of them anyway, hence my love for Super DBZ.
I liked a lot of what Infinite World had to offer, but it really felt like a cash in, while Burst Limit was a completely new experience.

IMO Infinite World was not very good. I didn't care for the story mode, and I also felt that it played worse than anything else in the Budokai series. Burst Limit wins by default.

You can give Videl flying lessons.

Infinite World is a fucking no-brainer.

Burst Limit. The graphics were great, the voice acting was the best I've seen from funi so far and the online multiplayer is a big win. The gameplay is pretty much the same for both games so there really is no comparison there. Sure Infinite worlds had more characters but it felt like a cash in, a rushed project. Burst Limit felt like an actual game.

Infinite World can't even be considered an actual game in my view.

Seconded. It was a great game, had a better character roster, decent mini games, and had Videl on the boxart. What's not to love?

I've not played Burst Limit, but as a total package, Infinite World seems better (only minor flaws are the lack of early-DB characters and the annoying difficulty level).

Ok, I'll give you that. The difficulty level is too high. Even on easy, Omega Shenron is a superbitch to beat.

You guys just need to buy some capsules. Specifically the ones that raise the amount of health you start with. Senzu Beans also help.

Having recently played some of Burst Limit, I gotta say... Infinite World. While some of the copy-paste elements and difficulty enforcing can be quite ridiculous, I found it enjoyable and fun, primarily in the story mode battles (the ones involving cut-scenes & mini-games) and the new characters. Seeing Pikuhan, Pan, Saiyagirl, Super 17, Janemba, Baby, GT Kid Goku pull off Budokai 3 calibar ultimates alone makes me fangasm. Yes, fangasm. I have both been there and done that. The upgrades to the fighting system, mini-games in general (aside from 2/4 levels where we merely fly through rings...), and scope of everything in it makes a better game in my honest opinion.

Burst Limit, eh. It just came off as way too limited and even, cut-scenes aside, demo-ish in a way. I feel this especially in how the game is limited to the DBZ arcs between Raditz and Cell, plus some swallowable Broly and Bardock additions; I think after, correct me if I'm wrong, 10 Ps2 games before it ('kay, after it in Infinite World's case), we could use something freakin' epic for this "huge" console-based game. Something that goes all the way to the end of DBZ, into some of the movies, into GT for the heck of it. But nah, Burst Limit just went back to the cheap rush of "Raditz to Cell" the first Budokai and Sagas dished out.

Corey, feel free to slap me. :P
