Maybe I'm way off base here, which is usually the case.

I actually like the season sets a bit more. The colors are more vibrant and the sky looks blue(not aqua) I want the boxsets for the sake of having them but the honestly the quality is a lot better on the season sets.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

You have a right to your opinion, but you can't flat out say that remastered sets>dbox. It's not better. You=ignorant.

That comparison is BS if you'd watch both set's in fullscreen, you wouldn't even question Dragon Box's superior quality.

You don't make decisions by comparing low quality youtube videos...

Yup, this'll definitely help this forum's reputation.

Let me ask you something: are you making this statement only from having seen Seasons 1-3? The quality of Seasons 6-9 actually is almost equal to the Dragon Boxes, especially with the last 2 sets, and I could see why someone would prefer them over the Dragon Boxes.

If that is the case, and you haven't seen anything past Season 3, then you're the one who's ignorant because you haven't seen 2/3's of the set and it's already noted that it jumped in quality between Season 3 and Season 6.

Let me ask you this. Do you agree with this statement?

"the quality is a lot better on the season sets"

Well do you? If you agree that the season set's are are visually superior to Dragon Box footage then you're just being being a fanboy.

It's not an opinion thing. The Dragon Box=better quality, and I'm just being honest here. I know you can't debate about a persons tastes. If he does like the colors better, then I have no problem with that...

Also I have not watched season 6 and above, but does the "jump" in quality make up for the shitty 2/3's of the whole set. I don't think so...

Okay, since Season set debates are pretty much dead now, I really don't feel like doing this. But you're acting completely ridiculous. Don't speak for the entire series of sets when you haven't even seen a third of them. Considering the last clip is in fact from Season 6, I believe that the YouTube viewers have every right to say that Season sets look better. That doesn't make them fanboys. That just means they have preferences. So don't EVER label me a fanboy because I may have preferences that you don't agree with. I'm not gonna tell you whether or not I do think that the latter Season sets are better than their Dragon Box counterparts, but let me ask you: Is it really that ridiculous to think so? Then again, you haven't even seen the later Season sets, so you wouldn't even know how to answer anyway.

I never question a person's taste... You can drink carbonated piss for all I care, but don't tell me that it's better than shampaign!!!

Have you seen Dragon Box in motion? On a TV? The DVD's I mean. Not clips. Have you seen all 42 volumes of Z? How can you compare? Lastly why are you even buying the NA Dragon Box since in your opinion season sets are way better quality than Dragon Box footage.

I already said I'm not telling you whether or not I do think that later sets>Dragon Box.

And hell, aren't the GT singles almost exactly the same quality as the Dragon Box? I'd say that's close enough, anyway.

Ouch! I haven't actually seen the boxsets on my tv, and its not like I'm hating on the boxsets( I WANT them) I'm just saying, from what I've seen so far, and with that video posted the Bricks had a more vibrant color. I just read the whole history of the Dragonbox(curtsy of the link posted in the podcast) and now I have a better understanding of all the little screw ups and so forth that came with the boxsets. Personally as of now I enjoyed them and I'm really excited for the boxsets so I can have both to compare on my own time. Calling me ignorant was just harsh my friend, no need to get defensive over this.

I mean, people go on and on about Funi fans being defensive, but then you just exploded at him for having the nerve to think the Season sets look better than the Dragon Boxes, and me for suggesting that it's possible to even think it.

The colors are not the point. You can like the colors. The overall quality is better that's what I'm trying to say. That's the whole point though, you haven't seen the footage and you jump to conclusions on what's better quality, and whats not...

Just my opinion...

I didn't jump to conclusions, as I said "based on what I've seen so far." Its not like I'm casting the box aside or calling it crap I just stating my opinion based on what is presented in the video posted originally.

I'm actually extremely excited for the boxsets and can't wait to own them.

I noticed this too, but I didn't want to poor more fuel into the fire, thanks for defending me too. :D

again no one is attacking the boxsets I'm just stating my opinion based on what I have seen so far no need to get defensive.

I like the season sets more because the colors are more vibrant and the picture is more clear than the dragonbox.

I could understand the "more vibrant" colors, but in reality, the Dragon Box wins in-terms of visual clarity. If you put two screens side-by-side, you'll know what I mean.

The season sets have less grain than the DragonBox also.

But they're blurry and have less detail. Although that doesn't apply to 6-9. They released with those that the grain is part of the picture and that DVNR = bad.

Only because of the infamous DVNR'ing, which is one of the reasons why they look so blurry in the first place.

They don't look blurry at all to me.
