Son Goku and Vegeta no longer exist. Vegetto is an entirely different being.

Yes, but that doesn't change the past. Gohan, Goten, and Trunks are still only a quarter related to this new being. Pan is only 1/8th related. Vegetto is comprised of Goku and Vegeta. You have to take that into consideration when talking about his relation to other characters.

That's assuming Shenlong can transfer a soul from a parallel universe.

Why would they be related with Vegetto? Vegetto isn't Goku + Vegeta, he is a new person. It is like mix milk and chocolate and the final result is wine and not choco milk. Goku and Vegeta are basically dead. Vegetto doesn't have anything to do with them. That is what fusion is.

I see Vegetto as a portion of both. Made up of DNA the same as a child of two people are.

Vegetto's DNA would be confusing. Is it a random half of Goku's DNA and a random half of Vegeta's DNA, like a child of Goku and Vegeta (lawl) would be? Or something less logical due to magic?

I would assume it is an entirely different DNA with no resembles to Goku or Vegeta DNA. Since, you know, Vegetto is a different person than either those two.

Since it's magic, that could be true. But he does resemble a mix of the two, and he does have Saiyajin DNA, so it's safe to assume he's physically based on them in some way.

I mean, a child isn't either of it's parents, but it still has DNA from both.

I was speaking hypothetically. After Vegeta and Goku fused together they no longer exist. It is like they are dead in our world. Of course in Dragonball world being dead is just pretty much like being alive. At least for Goku.

Well, he is able to transfer people (=body+soul) from another dimension.
The plan was to use Shenlong to take Piccolo, Goten and Trunks out of the ROSAT with the Dragonballs, so I guess that a parallel universe wouldn't be a problem.
