Warning when someone posts as you're typing a reply

Post by Amigo Ten » Sun Jul 26, 2009 11:50 pm

Not sure if this site just doesn't have that option anywhere, but usually there's an option so that if more posts are added to a thread as you are typing a reply, when you click "post" it warns you. It shows you what else has been posted while you were typing, and gives you the option to edit your reply if you want.

Does this place have that?

Now excuse me while I burn down Mike's house.

I know there isn't an option in the profile, I was asking if there was an admin option to enable it or something.

I find that feature to be very annoying. Thankfully it's only used on one forum I frequent.

You can turn it off in your profile preferences on all the sites I've seen use it.

If I've taken a long time to reply, I just hit preview and scroll down to see the most recent posts underneath (topic review).

That's really the best thing to do, and it's really not that hard.
