WHY has this not happened yet? Seriously, why?
Viz is an odd bunch... might as well email 'em about it, eh?

http://www.viz.com/about/contact/contact.php

They have a little form thingy, it's not much, but if you're REALLY interested, you could send 'em expensive paper with some ink on it. 8) I sent 'em a form letter regarding Kanzenban, unedited manga, and the rest of the Daizenshuu. Just asked if they plan on getting them at all. Probably not worth it, but it can't hurt. If I can scrounge up enough change, I think I may make a longer version to actually mail them.

Dream release would be an international Dragonball Blu Ray release, of all the "real" Dragon Ball animes.
I'd want any possibly, thinkable dub track ever on it, because I really like to compare dubs. In addition, I'd want an even more well done remastering than the Dragonboxes.
The dream DVD set was somewhat planned a few years ago where AB and this other French company were jointing to put out a dvd set with Japanese, Spanish, Portugese, French and Italien dub tracks. However, that joint project failed, and the best release there'll be in France will most probably be that assy encoded DVD boxset (which is such a shame).

DragonBall/Z DVD's in actual stores here. Shipping from foreign countries or buying them overpriced at conventions two times a year is just annoying when you know that other people just visit their local stores to buy their DVDs there.

So my dream release is for the Netherlands to release some stuff here next to the manga. ^_^

Dang, if there was a DVD with both Spanish and Portuguese languages, with accurate English subtitles and Dragon Box visual quality, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

My dream release would be DBox footage (and JPN audio with subs), an accurate dub (with the original music), along with audio commentaries and an extensive documentary into the look of FUNimation's early years (along with interviews and the like).

I'd like to see a completely uncut release of the manga with no missing middle fingers and lasers in place of guns. Also, it would be nice to see the rest of the daizenshuu released in English...though I imagine that would make the original Japanese versions harder to sell.

Then you want to see the impossible, unless we're talking eBay hunting for FUNiboxes a few years down the line.

4:3 isn't a problem. It's the $30 part. Maybe if you can find some used Dragon Boxes on eBay or something in a year or so you can get 'em for that cheap. More'a matter of time than of anything.

My dream release would be the Dragon Boxes with a modern quality voice track that doesn't have scratchy 80s artifacts and has every relevant channel separated--music on one track, voices on one, and sound effects on another.

Since neither of these things are relatively plausible, though, I'm sure it's likely to remain a dream. :(

I honestly can't think of much else, just things I'd like on the Dragon Boxes. All the footage and extras from the Japanese source, plus extras that either didn't make it on the Japanese boxes or things that have popped up in the years since the original boxes came out.

I suppose I could say that a Kanzenban release without any fuck-ups or screwing around would be nice. Perhaps a "limited edition" set that couldn't be mixed up with normal kid's books, one that perhaps bundled several Kanzenban in a box to increase the cost of entry and hold back the casual parental buying audience.

I don't really care about the Daizenshuu. They're neat, but beyond actual production info and the extra artwork in the first one, I don't really care too much about in-universe stuff outside of a mild curiosity.

I also don't care about Kai, I'm just incredibly apathetic about it. I probably won't ever pick it up.

I do love the new special, I'd like to see that get a nice, single release. With box art that mimics the Japanese art, but that may be asking too much. Or hell, throw it on the last Dragon Box. That may not be HORRIBLY likely, but they put a movie they didn't have before on the Dragon Ball Season One box, didn't they?

I can see it now, plastered in huge letters on the front cover:
"Watch out parents!! This is not for children!!!"

I'd want a kanzenban like that!
(Edit: Awww, I can't misspell Kanzenban any more...:P)
