They should just up the disc count to 7 and include all 3 audio tracks to make everyone happy.
Aka gtadbzman.

I originally considered that there's a vast wealth of extras an' such that Daimao's involvement could imply, but then I simply remembered the next episode previews. I don't want to get too caught up in thinking something like ZOMG PLAN TO DESTROY THE SAIYA-JIN.

Remember...

They said 7 episodes on 6 discs.

They never said..."there are only 6 discs in this package."
Goku: "Look Vegeta! People popcorn!"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"

That's another thing to keep in mind too.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Now we're just playing word games!

You know, contrary to what many people believe, Funimation is in-fact a business. Being a business, it is their goal to profit. Anyone with an inkling of an idea of how business works knows that, in order to do so, you don't hide messages inside of your press releases, in hopes that the consumers will decode it. Thus, removing a possible boost in desirability from your product.

This has been an enthralling business lesson from Freeza Heika. Tune in next time, when we discuss why everyone always wants that green paper with those dead guys on it. :D

Any and all genuine "news" is reported on our home page. The thread is essentially speculation upon speculation upon general discussion. If you just want solid facts, you know where to go.
Anonymous Friend wrote:From what I have read in this thread there may be a chance of the Dragon Box not including a english language audio track. if this is the case then I will not be buying this.
False. It has been stated that the sets will default to the Japanese language track. This clearly implies there will be a dub included on there. Right now there is no set word on which dub that will be.

Most of the discussion in this thread has been about the pros/cons of including/not-including different audio tracks based on available disc space, marketing, etc.
Thank you very much for both pieces of information. I should try to remember to check the front page more often. I am very happy to hear that there will be english audio in the set.

Fuck, when will Funi put this on RightStuf? I'm getting impatient

It won't be on RightStuf until FUNi announces their other November titles. That'll be sometime next month.

I'm glad the silly music debate seems to be calming down; I was scared to post during that entire thing. ^_^;

I'm glad to FINALLY have more news to speculate over. I wonder what Daimao's working on for us now. Would he not get any more specific than "extra materials?" I guess we'll have to wait for the retail listings for news on official extras.

Well, let's think. This shouldn't be too hard to figure out. If he's working on them, then it's obviously Japanese translation work, and we know he's working on something from the Japanese DragonBoxes. He's already subbed the TV specials along with the openings/episodes/endings/previews, and the only other things on the D-Boxes are the product commercials, the non-Japanese dub clips, and the guide books.

He's either working on the Japanese vintage product commercials or the Dragon Books. I'm sure of it. What else could it possibly be? I still highly doubt we're going to get the Playdia footage, and even if we were, it won't be on volume one. I doubt that's what he's working on, since based on what jjgp said, he's working on these things one volume at a time.

I'm hoping Daimao is allowed to write all of the descriptions on the box and the booklet so it's done right.

I guess you will.

Not necessarily.

Not necessarily.

See my last point.

Could be that after all these years, I'm finally getting around to updating my episode guide. Could be that I'm recording some commentary tracks. Could be that I'm just acting as a script consultant. Could be I'm writing all of the descriptions on the box and the booklet so it's done right. Could be all of those things. Then again, could be none of them.

Reading the speculation is far too much fun for me to actually confirm or deny anything at this point. Ain't I just a stinker?

I hope that it was a thinly veiled attempt to actually key us in. I would love a commentary track by you! In fact, I don't care which one of those is true, I just hope at least one is. I would love any of those things, or... WAIT! Perhaps this was a not-so-thinly-veiled attempt steer us away from the truth! You are INDEED a stinker. Well played, well played. :P
