I'm really excited for the other one we're working on, though that one's going to take a little longer to get done. Wish we could give you guys a hint, too, but all I can say right now is that it's a... blast from the past. =3
Let me guess... A remake of episode one? I remember you saying something about how you guys weren't happy with it and wanted to try it again. 8)
Consider my money in that pile too. Episode One is VASTLY different from latter episodes, and quite frankly...not as funny.

I'd so love it if Lani won the Raditz battle this time, though!
Episode 1 is one of my favorites. I wouldn't say it's "vastly" different.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Blast from the past? That dude HBI voiced in the FAQ?
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". I'd enjoy a TFS Bardock Special. X3

We'd get child Vegeta; and Nappa with hair.

So that's how he majored in child psychology...

So, I'm taking my best friend through the series tonight, since both of us are pretty bored. I swear, I think he's as hooked as I am now.

Off topic but why? You're doing yourself a great disservice by not checking it out. It's not as hardcore extreme and there's no Videl, but there are some good fights and lovable characters.

I know, I know. I guess it's just my dislike of Goku and the lack of Gohan and Vi...

But for the most part, I just haven't really found time or resources to get around to it yet. Maybe with the boxsets coming out I'll give it a go...

Goku isn't the same in Dragon Ball. He's innocent and funny. You'll probably find him more tolerable as a kid. And Nolandy does a better job as Goku than she did for Gohan.

I second that, on a monolithic scale! Son Gohan as a 4-9 year-old sucked hard(He sucked even harder as time passed), but Nadolny's angst-riddled voice for Son Gohan didn't improve much.

A "blast from the past", eh?
Well, here are some of my guesses...

1) Remake of Episode One
2) The Bardock Special
3) The orignal Dragon Ball
4) Something involving Trunks.

I'm betting on another song based on great film. Yep, a Trunks/Dr. Brown sing-along extravaganza!

Trunks - "What about the Jinzoningen?"
Dr. Brown - "Boy, where we're going, we don't need Jinzoningen!"
Trunks - "But that makes no sense..."
Dr. Brown - "Roll with it boy! It's my most memorable line to parody!"
My Super Awesome GT Origins Idea
"さあ、お前の罪を数えろ!"
"SuperSaiyan3Goku, give me all your breasts."

Can't believe it, that's just incredible, wow. I'm really excited for this weekend. See, this is what happens when I leave town for a while. ;3
Ah, so THAT's why you never answered my PM. :P

I am SO glad that you are excited about this idea. I'm not sure how much of the panel is going to be filmed, but they will definitely be filming as much as they can. My friend, Wacko, who is hosting the panel will be using a small amount of footage for his video blog. KaiserNeko, if there's any additional footage from the panel that you'd like to see/get, feel free to contact Wacko on his website for the panel.

To everyone else, I will definitely let you know once anything gets posted from the event. Feel free to comment to Wacko as well at the aforementioned link. He's been following the thread, but has been having trouble activating a forum account here, and he'd love some feedback/recommendations. The event is two days away, so get those requests in quick! :D

This'll probably be my last post until after the show. Talk to you all then!!

Well to be fair, Stephanie Nadolny was only bad as Gohan during the Frieza and Android sagas. During the Cell saga, she really started finding the right voice for him since she had to sound older, and her Gohan work from the movies and Seasons 1 & 2 are just as good as her Goku work.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I'm going to have to disagree with that jjgp. I'm afraid I don't like her voice, even then. To each his own, of course. That voice just doesn't resonate with the character for me. I don't understand why, because it's practically the same as the one she uses for Goku, and yet I tolerate (meaning, almost enjoy) the dub for that series.

I can see what you're saying. I actually get a different vibe from her Goku. She uses the same voice...but it's different at the same time. Goku sounds more naive, while Gohan just sounds "normal"

But I think we can all agree that she wasn't good as Gohan in the Frieza and Android saga. She sounded like she was smoking for years.

Back on topic!

It appears TFS will be appearing along with Doug Walker at Youmacon. Don't know if they'll be together or not.

Now that I've had some time to sleep, I can finally give an update on how the Abridged panel at AFO went. First, I should start off by saying that Sonny was not able to attend the panel. He was busy in the dealer's room where he was neck-deep in art commissions.

Anyway, Chris Sabat was a tad late to the panel, but he made his appearance before the end of the first episode. We found out that was the only episode he had seen thus far (probably from that con in Sydney), and he stuck around until about episode six or so. At first, he wasn't sure what we wanted him to do, but we explained that all anyone there wanted was to be able to watch it with him. Once he got settled, he asked Wacko "Are the guys that made this here?" To which Wacko answered "No, I wish they were." To which Chris replied "Yeah, me too."

It was fun just watching it with him and hearing him laugh along with everyone else at the different jokes. Hopefully he's now seen enough to seek it out on his own. When he left, he gave some parting words to the fans and some really complimentary sentiments to Team Four Star. Wacko was able to record the panel from the moment Chris arrived until the moment he left. Hopefully he will have some or all of that footage uploaded to his site in the next few days or so. I'll be sure to let everyone know when that happens.

Anyone else from the boards go to the con?
