So has anybody thought about how FUNimation are going to design the other DragonBoxes if they are released? I hope they make the design's very near to the origionals like the box set already shown, but there will be some problems.
For instance, how are they going to sort this problem out?

There would be more than 7 DVD's in the collection, not to mention a 80 page hardcover book in every box, so what will they do about those characters? They cant just make more, they would have to have the artist come and draw more characters.
Same goes with this:

They cant just widen "DBGT".
What are your thoughts on the designs of future FUNimation DragonBoxes?

As of right now, FUNimation is planning those 80 page books for the Dragonball Z box sets. Maybe they will do something else with Dragonball and GT? Shorten the books or not include books in some? Or just keep them the way it is in Japan? Will they even ever get around to making Dragonboxes for them? Right now it ALL up in the air.

I really hope they just release GT as one box set.
If I wanted two GT boxes I'd get the season sets

I already got those two sets, oops.

But aren't they already pretty close to Dragonbox quality? If so, oh well. If FUNimation keeps the art from the DBGT Dragonbox, then I'm totally buying.

GT season sets quality isn't close to Dragon Box quality...

The only real difference is some very conservative use of DVNR, which I think actually works this time around.
Singles looked dead on in still shots, but in motion they fell apart due to bad encodes. GT sets in motion are every bit as good as the Dragon Boxes because of FUNimation's new encoder.

With Funi's pricing of the GT sets, 80 dollars for all of it might work out.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Well if you look at the new funibox you can see that all they are doing is printing the dragonbox dvd case images over a larger area.
As for your dragonball dragonbox example you may have a character split into 3 peices "left case, book, right case" to reproduce the same image of one of the japanese cases.
Who knows if they are going to release 80 page booklets for other dragonboxes if they happen.
But it really doesn't seem like a huge problem unless you wish to exactly match the japanese release.

Since Bulma and Roshi are sharing a cover, they could take them apart and make it 8 DVD books.
And hopefully for DBGT they'd be able to raise the price a little from the DBZ Boxes and release it on it's own.

I expect GT to have a MSRP of $100 or possibly more to release an all in one box.

I'm personally wondering what FUNimation's next selection of artwork will be, it makes sense the second Z box will get the Freeza artwork that was on the first Japanese Z Dragonbox, but after that it will be interesting to see where they nab their artwork from (the Dbox singles would be a good idea).

Well the 2 Japanese Dragon Boxes have 7 Characters on.
These are obvious choices.

Assuming that they all have 42 episodes, each box would end within an episode or three of these spots:
1) (1-42) Gohan, Bulma, and Krillin in space.
2) (43-85) Goku recovers.
3) (86-128) Goku becomes ill while fighting #19.
4) (129-171) During the ten days before the Cell Game.
5) (172-214) The Budokai match-ups are decided.
6) (215-257) Goten and Trunks finish their Fusion training.
7) (258-291) Goku runs off with Uub.
What order would they appear in, though? Maybe...
1) Goku -- Already there.
2) Piccolo -- He does hold Freeza off for awhile and his death is why they're on Namek.
3) Freeza -- He's the main villain throughout most of these episodes.
4) Cell -- Imperfect Cell plays a big part in many of these episodes.
5) Gohan -- Gohan is the star through most of these episodes.
6) Vegeta -- He becomes Majin Vegeta and he dies in these episodes.
7) SSj Goku -- There's no Buu arc art and this can go almost anywhere.
What do you think?

That goes really nicely:D. I like the idea of Goku in his normal state at the start of the box sets then him as a super saiyajin at the end. The problem i see with using these characters though, is unless there are pictures somewhere of the character art not on the box with writing over them, i dont see how FUNimations going to have them on the front cover. They where able to use Goku (normal) on the front cover of the first box because if you look at the origional image of him he has no writing over him, Vegeta, Piccolo and Gohan all do.

Goku and Gohan are both shown on the box, the disc cases, and the spine art alone and together in different sizes. So, I would think that the art that was used on the boxes can be provided without text to FUNi as well.
