About the contest

Will there be an update stating EXACTLY when the contest will commence, or are all these "contest coming soon" announcements the warning you were mentioning a while back the official announcement?

I'm just asking since I go back to school tomorrow and don't want to miss out on my chance to get my entry in first.

We'll make a post on the main page (and probably in the forums, too) once it's ready. Explanation, etc. will come then.

It's just a warning that it's coming soon. Here's all we'll ACTUALLY tell you ahead of time:

(1) It will not involve any creativity on your part, at least not in the same sense of previous contests (like Photoshop work)
(2) In that it's the manga's 20th anniversary, it's a celebration of the manga
(3) We'll announce ahead of time (perhaps a day or so) what the exact day/time will be when the contest goes up. From that point, there will be a single 24-hour period to get the entries in. First one with 100% or closest-to in the 24-hour period is the winner.
(4) We'll try not to make it midnight when it goes up... earlier in the evening, for those international readers who might otherwise not be awake!
(5) There is a prize! It's Japanese, it's DBZ, and it's sorta manga-related.

That's all we can really say without giving it away! It's imperative that no-one knows what we're doing before-hand, so that's that ^_~.

Yay! I was referring to number 3 so I am happy! This is GREAT. I'm a manga-nut so numbers 2 and 5 make me REALLY wanna win this thing.

I believe you mean "ditto." Dido was the female singer from a couple years back (the one that did the duet with Eminem). ^_~

It's funny that that's all she's remembered for in North America when she even rather well over here too. That poor, poor Ditto.

Just saw the update. Seeing that I haven't watched more than three Dragon Ball movies, I guess winning the tankoubon would be pretty cool. I just hope I'm able to fill out the entry thing right.
