You know what I would like to see? Instead of the general public's opinion(which from the sound of it seems to be pretty positive) I want to hear Toyiama's opinion on the many DUBs of Dragonball, FUNimation especially. I always think about things like this when anime's come to America or Visa Versa.

Got to say, this thread is very fun. :D
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Toriyama: If FUNimation can keep Dragon Ball alive for fans, that's great, since the chances of myself picking up that task are slim.

Where did you get that quote, I'm interested in the whole interview if you have it.

Supposedly, the Japanese version does not take the whole thing seriously and insert inappropriate jokes and dialogue. Many prefer the more serious subbed edition because it follows the American script and plot.
So that proves it. The original is always best. :)
I would agree in any other circumstances except Dragonball, while Funimation does take liberties with the script the overall idea is still present. However, according to some the Japanese Beast Wars dub is very convoluted.
Heard with that in Japan, they made Airazor into a dude. On the other hand, though, the dub opening of TF: Galaxy Force is better than the Japanese in my opinion.
