I wish I could have gone. I've never been to any sort of con for my fandoms *transportation and money usually being the issues*, but it sounds fun. For the life of me, I can't make a single functional burned dvd to work on a tv. Any advice on how to do so?

And it sounds like the series was well received. It's only so many steps away before we hear about Sabat approaching Fukunaga about releasing it on DVD/a tv release, lol. He's surprisingly excited for a fan creation. Now, we need to get it to Schemmel.

Tekkaman-James wrote:Now that I've had some time to sleep, I can finally give an update on how the Abridged panel at AFO went. First, I should start off by saying that Sonny was not able to attend the panel. He was busy in the dealer's room where he was neck-deep in art commissions.

Anyway, Chris Sabat was a tad late to the panel, but he made his appearance before the end of the first episode. We found out that was the only episode he had seen thus far (probably from that con in Sydney), and he stuck around until about episode six or so. At first, he wasn't sure what we wanted him to do, but we explained that all anyone there wanted was to be able to watch it with him. Once he got settled, he asked Wacko "Are the guys that made this here?" To which Wacko answered "No, I wish they were." To which Chris replied "Yeah, me too."

It was fun just watching it with him and hearing him laugh along with everyone else at the different jokes. Hopefully he's now seen enough to seek it out on his own. When he left, he gave some parting words to the fans and some really complimentary sentiments to Team Four Star. Wacko was able to record the panel from the moment Chris arrived until the moment he left. Hopefully he will have some or all of that footage uploaded to his site in the next few days or so. I'll be sure to let everyone know when that happens.

Anyone else from the boards go to the con?

Really looking forward to the video footage.

In my eager awaiting of episode eleven of TeamFourStar's Dragon Ball Z Abridged, I've put together a short 'scored presentation' of Goku's duel with Vegeta, using of course, Shunsuke Kikuchi's masterful music. The score contains (admittedly, pieces not used in the episode, just some of my random favorites):

•Makafgushigi Adventure (Instrumental).
•Dai Nijuuikkai Tenka-ichi Budokai.
•Kyoufu no Ginyu Tokusentai.

Obviously, I three this together in thirty minutes on Windows Movie Maker, but doing do--and listening to the series with the original score--brought a stupid grin to my face, so excuse my work. I tried hard to make sure the dialogue wouldn't be drowned out, but I'm sure there's a place or two it slipped through. If this is popular enough (and TFS or FUNimation don't hammer me into the ground) I'd love to do some more.

Cast:

Son Goku: MasakoX
Vegeta: Lanipator

I was just on Youtube, and apparently TeamFourStar's account has been suspended and videos have been removed due to terms of use violation.

I suppose that's the reason why they moved their videos to that obnoxious guy's website. They might be up again, only time will tell. It might happen to all fan dubbers out there.

It looks like the majority of people who had DBZ related videos (like TFS, and those Power Level video makers) have had their videos removed and accounts suspended. Maybe FUNimation is bringing down the hammer?

But, but how can it be suspended?! There were people from Funimation itself that loved the series!

Why would they do that? Why would they ban them??

Well, FUNimation has known about TFS for a while. I can almost guarantee that it's YouTube. Occasionally one of the mods there gets a hard-on for deleting videos and suspending accounts. It happens all the damn time.

YouTube is chaotic. It's out of control.

Actually, it looks like it is Toei who's making copyright claims...

This is so disheartening. :(

I'm gonna go listen to that "Ghost Nappa" song and try to cheer myself up.

If by "that obnoxious guy" you mean "that hilarious guy", then yeah. They've got episodes 6-10 up so far, and I'm sure the other videos will be up soon enough. Who cares if they got banned from youtube? YouTube has gotten shittier and shittier ever since Google bought it, and the majority of it's users are illiterate morons.

EDIT: Oh wait, they just embed the youtube videos on TGWTG.com. I'm sure they'll just upload them on a different site to post on TGWTG though.

Gozar hasn't been banned yet, though...

What the hell?! Youtube is really starting to piss me off. I can see pulling fansubbed episodes, but pulling parodies is #%*@ing ridiculous! Yesterday I tried to watch the 5th Gintama opening (Donten) and that was also pulled. If Youtube turns into a site with nothing but retarded videos about losers dancing or talking to unicorns, I will be one very angry guy. What's next on the chopping block, AMVs?

Actually his account has been banned before. His old, banned account is "Gozar" and his current account's "ssjGozar".

Admittedly I went to go check on his channel right after I found out about TeamFourStar; thinking YouTube was going after all the parody-makers.

Maybe it was someone who just didn't like TFS who reported them? :(

Wow! Thanks for your concern, but YouTube has bigger fish to fry first.
Let's start responding. Let's let YouTube know we're not happy.

I suggest that everybody with an account upload a video to let YouTube know. If you don't want to make your own, you can upload the quick one that I made.

I am in full support of Innagadadavida's video. I have no Youtube account (or even a PC), but I encourage those who can to make similar videos. I suggest Recoome, Cell Games announcer, and Kid Trunks middle finger screencaps.
