Where does it say that?
On Venom9808's page, he said that "due to a copyright claim by Toei, I've been forced to remove all DBZ-related videos."

Seeing as how all his videos were Power level videos, and that nearly every other person who made them has been suspended, I think it's pretty reasonable to assume it's Toei.

Well, who's going to take care of this? Think FUNimation will talk to them? I doubt YouTube will. We have to get the word to Toei somehow. I'm not going to let them step all over me. I don't know how they do things in Japan, and I don't really care. I don't think TeamFourStar or anybody did anything wrong.

The video has already started spreading a little.

I made a Dragon Ball Z Over 9000 parody a year ago or so, and today I got a notice that it had been removed due to copyright claims by some Japanese name I couldn't make out... (Oh well, the video sucked anyway but that's besides the point!:P)

I think they're crackin' down fellas!

[EDIT]AND NOW ANOTHER DRAGON BALL Z VIDEO OF MINE WAS REMOVED!!

And my Pokemon Parodies are being marked as potential copyrighted material.

Fuck YouTube! I'm going to save my videos and close my damn account.

YEAH!!! I'M NOT BANNED!!!! *Hears a rain of boos and chants for TFS*...-_-...Kuso...

But seriously, this is total bull shit. I know for a fact that FUNi is cool with parodies. I myself talked to a legal rep at FUNi over a year ago. It must be Toei or YouTube. There's no way it's directly FUNi.

I didn't think it was Funi, especially with how Chris Sabat seemed to enjoy TFS. That's why the whole thing's confusing. I agree with you, I do think its either YouTube itself or Toei.

Has anyone ever overturned a YouTube ban before? Is there a precedent for it?

So I guess if it is Toei, the question is why? Are they unaware that these are parodies they're shutting down? Or do they just not care?

Something tells me they'll be back and reupload all of their stuff, we'll probably even get a funny video regarding the matter. Youtube is getting exasperatingly stupid.

I can't read Japanese, so can anyone tell me if that says Toei filed the complaint?

And apparently some ass named "vodeotv" owns the rights to distribute Pokemon and are filing complaints about my videos...

I'm not sure about that, but I do know that other people who have had videos pulled say that there is no appeals process of any sort, so I don't know how one would go about getting a ban overturned.

The AmazingAtheist was banned for making a rude comment on a video that was 3 months old. He got his ban overturned and he's now making videos again.

It seems Toei are just ploughing through any videos they find with DBZ content, there doesn't seem to be any criteria for it. I'm seeing AMVs, parodies, the whole works getting removed. If it has the footage, it's getting stepped on.

I dunno if this is setting a precedent for the future, or whether it's just a brief surge of agressiveness. But it's not good. :(
In a nutshell: Likes the sub and the dub and barely ever posts.

I'll be happy when he can return back to his old self 100% on Freespeach vids.

I'm not sure, but I think TOHO or Tsuburaya did it for Youtube Japan

NOOOO
DAMN YOU TOEI!

I first noticed it when Vegito1089, the guy who makes those what if fights with skillful editing had [Video Removed] on my favorites! And luigi24 and his Big Green Dub and other foreign language dub clips were gone too! ;_;

If Toei has a problem with parodies that use their animation, why the %#$* does the Big Green dub exist? If any daizex videos get pulled, I say we band together and kick someone's ass.

BROOKLYN RAGE!

Why must Youtube take the only reasons many of us care to go on there. I know I don't go on to watch people screaming about Britney Spears or anything like that. At least LK got his own site afterwards. Perhaps Team Four Star could, or just stick with TGWTG only, on that section for vids.

I hope things work out for them.

I think we should wait and see what the TFS members think should happen next. A few of them visit this thread pretty often, right?
