How did you decide/get your avatar?

I like Slayers, and CasterTroy's latest video reminded me of the new Slayers series "Revolution" and "Evolution-R,"so I made Lina Inverse my avatar!

I took a clip from the ending of Evolution-R and edited out the background (because it was scrolling, so it wouldn't loop properly) and inserted it into Microsoft GIF Animator.

I re-did it. I found out how to get it to look okay, so I just used the tried and true method of cropping, and resizing the video with Virtualdubmod and throwing it into Microsoft GIF animator.

I had to keep reconverting the source file so it doesn't look the greatest...

I may re-upload a better one at another point in time.

I wanted to avoid going for an obvious character, although my favourite characters are pretty much the obvious ones like Vegeta, Goku, Gohan and Trunks. I also seem to have a habit of liking side-characters that feel like they should do more but barely get used.

And yeah, new avatar for me too. Another one found on LJ. I always loved that moment where they lock eyes for a couple seconds.

Well, after doing a couple Scouter avatars, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something that was reminiscent of Son Goku but without it actually being Son Goku. So, I chose a picture from Dragonball Online and cropped it to make a face shot of the generic orange dogi guy with wild hair.

Essentially, it kind of gives off this message of living life with as much vigor and bravery as Son Goku while still establishing my own sense-of-self.

I scarcely use relevant avatars, I think it's a nice opportunity to give people a quick insight into my other interests, and to add a personal flair, I Photoshop my Avatars 99% of the time.
Also, Mewtwo is incredibly badass.

There were things about my last avatar that bugged me, (Well, the 125x125 version I used on other websites, the 80x80 one hid those problems because of the smaller size) so I colored another panel from Link's Logbook to make another new avatar. I removed "STARE" from the 80x80 version because it was hard to read when re-sized in the 80x80 version.
