1.) Future Trunks is my favorite Trunks. Swords are cool, his TV special was awesome, and I like his special attacks. He had an interesting background, and I also enjoyed him in the movies.

2.) Yes, I enjoy both performances.

3.) I prefer the shorter hair.

4.) I don't like GT Trunks.

Firstly, aside from his introduction to the series, he does nothing of any real consequence for the entire Android / Cell arc.
Does anyone besides Son or Gohan do anything of consequence in your opinion? Every fight in that arc ends prematurely or in favor of the current villain, save of course for the final battle.

Finally as a personal rule, I'm not much of a fan of any character who pushed the DB originals further onto the sidelines. I hated how Tenshinhan, Piccolo, Kuriran, Yamucha and Choaz more or less just got in the way by the end of Z, and the Trunks character was a major contributer to this.
It's a little ridiculous to pin that on Trunks. It was clear the humans were on their way out from when the Saiyans arrived. What really pushed the original DB Team characters out of the picture was the story's structure. Until Namek, Toriyama had a trend of introducing a villain character that the audience could relate to and then having them join the Son team. This ended with adding Piccolo and Vegeta to the team, two enemies even the original DB team couldn't stand up against. The addition of those two to the team was what really pushed the others out.
I thought this was a "Offer your opinions on Trunks" topic, not a "Offer your opinions on Trunks, but if your opinion differs from my own I'll cut it down" topic.

And I believe I did say "further onto the sidelines" a statement which already acknowledges that Vegeta and Piccolo had kicked them there in the first place.

I completely agree with what was posted a page back about Trunks going Super Saiyan against Tien. Trunks was pretty much going to win (ya never know, though), and he should've fought fair by staying in his base form. Come to think of it, this has just become the only Future Trunks moment that I don't like now. If it wasn't for that brief moment where he shows Tien some sportsmanship, I'd probably be more mad about it.

1. Which version of Trunks is your favorite? And why?
Mirai, no real thoughts needed in the decision. I’m captivated by the tragedy and his intense badassitude when he starts wrecking people like Freezer. And Mirai Gohan’s so awesome it burns, even ignoring the whole part where he takes on the role of a teacher like someone else once did for him a long time ago... Ooooooh my god the Mirai world’s fascinating

2. Do you like his voice in both American and Japanese?
The FUNi voice I first heard... I guess it’s alright, I’m used to it. I prefer the Japanese though. And I have to say whoever in the Ocean version did him just sucks something horrible.

3. For Future Trunks, do you prefer his short or long hair?
Short. It’s just.... cool looking. I guess the long hair is more attractive but his short look he first shows up with is just plain cool. And I’m a sucker for bowl cuts.

4. Is there anything about Trunks you don't like?
Daddy issues. You know, “but-but-but I can’t save the world by killing Cell! Daddy’s pride would be hurt! I’ll let everyone die instead, but Daddy will still think the bestest so that’s ok.” That always drove me nuts.

5. What is your favorite Trunks (any version) moment
It’s a tie really. On one end, there’s the dancing bits of Freezer spinning in the sky before he blows the bitch straight to hell. But that whole part at the end of Cell where he goes back and saves the day in his world is one of the most triumphant moments in the entire series for me. So it depends on whether I prefer triumphant or vengeful at that given moment.

Kusao also does little Trunks's voice.

Other than the absolute bullshit about his introduction (ie, the "Baby's First Fanfic" checklist), I like Future Trunks.

Kid Trunks is a little bitch, though. "Hey Goten! I know Buu killed my dad and your mom, but let's waste all our time as Gotenks!"

1. Which version of Trunks is your favorite? And why?

I like both about the same. I'm glad Toriyama gave them different personalities. They grew up differently, so it makes sense. Future Trunks is cautious and grateful for what he has because he grew up in a world where every day could be his last. Little Trunks is bratty and spoiled because he grew up in a time of peace, where he was given whatever he wanted (having a family that was considered to be "the richest in the world"). I like Future Trunks because he's more level-headed than many of the other Saiyan characters, but he's still naive and young. I also liked his interaction with the other characters, his back-story, and his personality. I like Present Trunks because he's a little more confident and I think the bratty, manipulative side of him is funny. It would be totally boring if he was always nice to Goten imo.

I found both versions entertaining, but I like the Trunks from the regular timeline slightly more. I just like the way he looks in the last chapter/episodes:

2. Do you like his voice in both American and Japanese?

Teen/Adult Trunks: I love both versions, but I prefer the Kusao.
Little Trunks: I love Laura Bailey's version, but hated Kusao's. His "child" voice just didn't sound right.

3. For Future Trunks, do you prefer his short or long hair?

Short. I never really liked the long hair.

4. Is there anything about Trunks you don't like?

GT Trunks' personality, but I personally go by "manga canon" so I can just ignore him.
