Thing is... That happened so long ago. It's a fact now and nobody can reverse it. I don't see why we continue to argue about it. And I especially don't see how not including the Falconor music track will fix that.
I agree with this overall, whats done is done. The dub score exists and with CD releases, singles and the season sets it's not like it's going to fade from memory. Personally I don't care for it but a lot of people do so why not just throw it on there if it doesn't cause any major video damage?

Nothing happened long ago. All of funimation's past releases didn't indicate any such thing. They had all options. It was for anyone that likes dbz. This is their 3rd time releasing the sets. It wouldn't make sense them not including all the audios.

The only thing I'm arguing against is funimation dares not to release all the audio options. Then they are just extremely lazy.

And again with the audio damaging the video bogus lie.

There are two lies.

1. There are two different types of dbz fan bases

2. Having the extra audio track will kill the video quality.

As I already explained this for number 2. Funimation is what kills the video quality if that happens. They have the power to put 6 eps on a dual layer disc. Not 7. So, don't go blame the extra audio track. I don't know why everyone keeps saying that.

That's because Naruto only had 1, accurate dub. There was no splitting of the fanbase there, so you are only a Naruto fan, or you aren't.

FUNimation split the whole fanbase with their dub.

*face palm. How can a there be two fan bases for one anime? With your logic no, there is two fanbases then with Naruto. One that likes the japanese audio and one that likes the english audio.
It's been done to death, so I'm not going to start up another dub vs. dub flame war. FUNimation made so many changes to the story and music, that it was arguably made into a very different show.
SSVegetto wrote:Are you that brainwashed by funimation?
Yeah... which is why I admit the Japanese version is superior to the dub, even though I watch the dub more often...

I am not some blind FUNimation follower who doesn't understand the facts, so do not label me as such.

Okay you want to believe there is two fan bases. Go ahead. I don't care.

The point I am making is that funimation's past dvd releases clearly indicated they gave all the audio options they had in the past. Each release at least had 2 options, and then the last release had 3 options.

I'm saying they are extremely lazy not to include all 3 audio choices that were in their dbz widescreen remastered sets.

And also. I don't buy into that the extra audio will kill the video quality. When all they can do is lower ep number count. So don't blame the extra audio quality. Blame funimation for not lowering the ep count number.

What am I uninformed about exactly? And how am I dick because I said you shouldn't buy into Funimation's marketing ploy? Yeah, I don't want people to listen to you. If you think it's okay for funimation not to release the extra audio because the quality will be ruined because of funimations mistake not to lower the ep number. And then you say it's also because funimation is marketing it towards certain dbz fans. When I want the alternate that pleases everyone. That makes me a dick. Then fine.

I'm more informed then you know. Because why, I can actually make something that funimation can't even make better.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

C'mon, don't be like that. If somebody wants to watch a show as the way it was intended, that doesn't automatically mean they think they're superior. How can you claim he's over-generalizing then make a over-generalized statement like that?

Or y'know watch Dragonball in its original language because they don't want to put up with plot alterations, awful music, bad jokes, Chris Sabat playing 30 characters, edited dialogue and characters with skewed personalities.

Not to mention even if someone doesn't know the language they can still enjoy the voices of the characters.

Well, yeah, at a basic level, you'd be right. But Dragon Ball isn't like so many other anime titles. It's dub was bad. You can't say the same thing about shows like Bleach or Cowboy Bebop, which have faithful dubs that keep the story intact. FUNimation created a cornucopia of inconsistencies that clash with the original story, and in some cases, their own earlier changes. Read this.

Basically, if you come on to Daizenshuu EX Forums and try participate in discussion with dub hogwash, you're only going to confuse those that know what they're talking about, and end up being told you're wrong.

I'm not saying you can't like the dub, I'm saying SSVegetto is out of his mind if he thinks people like Velasa or Kunzait and people around my age who grew up on Toonami are "the same type of dbz fans."

We would probably find something to argue about anyway. I kind of like this about Daizenshuu EX to be honest. It's not always one big circle jerk.

Pretty much this. So much dub misinformation can make discussions very difficult between the fanbases because of all of the changes made.

Sorry if you misunderstood my post. Personally I do watch the show sub because its more in line with manga as translated by VIZ but I was poking fun at the stereotype of ignorant sub fans. I do sadly know some of them  It wasn't intended to be jabbing all sub fans reread my post and see my point.

Yeah, funimation making up lies before. Yeah they never done that before. *face palms. /me points to Coreyx(majinvegeta) review of funimation's lies about the dbz remastered widescreen. It's a possiblity that they lie. Even if that is their reason to do it. They are still being lazy and not smart. When I myself know how to make something better than they do with all audio options.

Again, I already explained why I diminished your opinion. But I guess you didn't bother to read that part.
SSVegetto wrote: Yeah, I don't want people to listen to you. But I admit your entitled to your opinion. I'm saying they should probably take precaution to your opinion and be open minded about it. Again , I have an opinion that conflicts with this marketing ploy. It's not a big deal. Maybe I should have said it nicer, instead of saying don't listen to you. I could have put it nicer. But that is what I meant. Again, I found it surprising that you think I'm crazy and misinformed because I say funimation lies. When they lied in the past. If you think that is what I was misinformed about.

That is not being misinformed, that is just me interpreting how they think they can be lazy and not put the extra 2 dub tracks on there. I bite my fingers of this, who we are marketing towards stuff. I mean it's a North American release. Who do you think you are marketing it towards. And even so if they think they are marketing it towards certain people. They don't have to. I think it's silly they say that. They don't have to say that if they just have all the audio options there. Unless there trying to cover up their remastered widescreen mistake. Which I think maybe the case here.

They want us to buy two different separate releases because they don't want to include all the audio tracks. Are you kidding me? Are you seriously kidding me?

I have so many dvds of dbz I'm already about to throw up . I want one real , all the audios, all the options release. And that's that. Nothing else.
One good COMPLETE dbz release. Then there is no argument. If that makes me sound insane, or someone said they want to commit suicide because they read what I wrote. Then I'm sorry, I'm must be the craziest person on earth to want one good release.

But they've never even said anything about a split fanbase, and why would they "lie" about that in the first place? What would they gain from it?

Yes, we are all aware that FUNimation has lied (Widescreen? The way it was meant to be seen?) in the past, but you are blowing it waaaaaay out of proportion.
