Dragonball Evolution nominated for Best Comic Book Movie??

I haven't been on here in a while. I don't know if anyone has seen this but apparently the people at Spike think that Dragonball Evolution is worthy of being nominated for their Scream 2009 awards. Yeah...I've never heard of it either...

I'd assume it got a nomination just by virtue of being a comic book film, seeing as I think they nominated every other one that came out in 2009.

I don't see it beating Watchmen or X-men, not enough interest other than us, who mostly hate it, and people who grew up with it.

Watchmen should win hands down, it was such an amazing movie and the best adapted ANYTHING I've ever seen...

Wolverine will probably win though. Spike's a Guy's network and it's more "HARDKAWR AWESUM" stuff than anything.

Wolvie fits that most.

But yeah, This year has been, so far, kinda devoid of good Comic Book movies. DB Made the list because... it's just one of them...

The fact that Punshier: Warzone and the Spirit made the list have to be proof of that.

It doesn't surprise me, didn't Budokai 3 win an award for "BEST FIGHTING GAME EVAR"? Awards mean nothing to me nowadays and I'm pretty sure DBE isn't going to win regardless.

Pretty much this. I don't recall there being many comic book movies this year at all.

I'm 99% sure that Watchmen will win, the other 1% thinking Wolverine will somehow pull it off on the basis of both being from Marvel, and being way more well-known by a broader audience than Watchmen is.

I'd still like some concrete info as to if FOX is completely scrapping any future plans for DB-related ventures though. (I can't stand Chatku, but I would feel better knowing if I have indeed seen the last of him.)

You know, I don't think Dragonball's up there because it was widely liked. It's probably because there just hasn't been that many Comic Book movies this year, so they just bundled together the only 5 Comic Book movies that came out this year just so they can have some sort of "Competition" with them.

Otherwise, there just wouldn't be a "Best Comic Book Movie" part of the show. (I have a feeling that Watchmen is going to win. Dragonball doesn't have a chance in Hell.)

Dragon Ball E is unfortunately worse then Spawn and Daredevil movie adaptations..........It's listed on nomination only because it's movie sorted by this category, but it'll never win. Maybe if there will prizes as ''Movie adaptation which fucked up almost everyone and tried to profit on kids at least with action figures''
